Properties
On the [Properties] tab, you can view and set the properties of the printer.
The properties displayed in the [Properties] tab will differ depending on the model of your printer and the options installed. Any features, menus, or other items not supported by your printer will not be displayed in the [Properties] tab.
[Description]
Displays the product name and serial number of the printer. It also allows you to configure the printer name, location, contact person, and e-mail address of the administrator.
General Setup:
[Configuration]
Displays the printer specifications, page description languages (PDLs), and memory settings.
[Usage Counters]
Displays the number of output pages printed to date.
[Initialization]
Allows you to initialize NVM and reboot the printer.
Turning off your printer will clear the data in the main memory but not the one stored in the optional device memory, if installed.
[StatusMessenger]
Allows you to configure the settings for the StatusMessenger.
[Internet Services Settings]
Allows you to configure the settings for CentreWare Internet Services.
[Port Status]
Allows you to enable or disable each port.
Port Settings:
[Ethernet]
Allows you to configure your Ethernet settings.
This page does not appear if your printer is connected with a wireless network.
[Wireless]
Allows you to configure your wireless settings.
This page does not appear if your printer is connected with a wired network.
To connect the printer with a wireless network, be sure to install the optional wireless printer adapter.
Protocol Settings:
[TCP/IP], [LPD], [Port9100], [IPP], [WSD], [Network TWAIN], [FTP], [SMB], [Bonjour], [Telnet], [SNMP], [Update Address Book], [LDAP Server], [LDAP User Mapping], [FTP Client], [SMB Client], [E-mail], [HTTP], [SNTP], [AirPrint], [Google Cloud Print], [Proxy Server]
Allows you to configure the settings for each protocol.
Some protocols do not become active unless you reboot the printer after selecting [Enabled] under [Port Status].
Turning off your printer will clear the data in the main memory but not the one stored in the optional device memory, if installed.

Allows you to set security on transmitted/received data if enabling communication to and from the printer using HTTPS.

Navigating the [Properties] Pages
To display the settings:

- In the left frame, select an item (folder) to view and configure. If the items within the folder do not display, click the [+] sign to open
and view the contents.
The settings of the item are displayed in the right frame.
To change the settings:
Procedure
- Change the settings using the drop-down menus, text boxes, and check boxes.
The current settings in the drop-down menus are indicated with an asterisk (*).
Some text boxes accept non-alphanumeric characters. However, if you enter non-alphanumeric characters into text boxes, the entire characters may not be saved even if they are displayed in text boxes. For details, refer to Saving Non-alphanumeric Characters.
- When you have entered your settings, click the [Apply] button at the bottom of the right frame.
The new settings are applied.
Some settings may not become active unless you reboot the printer from CentreWare Internet Services or manually turning off and on the printer after clicking the [Apply] button.

When you change your settings, you may be requested to enter the user name and password of the system administrator.
Enter the login ID (user name) and password specified in [Security - Administrator Settings].
To cancel the new settings, click the [Undo] button.
