Port Settings - Wireless
This page allows you to configure the wireless network settings.
This page does not appear if your printer is connected with a wired network.
To connect the printer with a wireless network, be sure to install the optional wireless printer adapter.
SSID
Enter the name that identifies the wireless network within 32 bytes.
Network Type
Select the network type from drop-down list.
MAC Address
Displays the current MAC address of the printer.
Connection Channel
Displays the channel number of the connection.
Connection Quality
Displays the quality of the connection.
Security Settings
Encryption
Select the security method from drop-down list.
- Off
Select this to communicate without encryption.
- WEP 128-bit HEX (26 Bytes)
Select this to use the WEP 128-bit HEX (26 Bytes).
- WEP 128-bit ASCII (13 Bytes)
Select this to use the WEP 128-bit ASCII (13 Bytes).
- WEP 64-bit HEX (10 Bytes)
Select this to use the WEP 64-bit HEX (10 Bytes).
- WEP 64-bit ASCII (5 Bytes)
Select this to use the WEP 64-bit ASCII (5 Bytes).
- WPA-PSK AES/WPA2-PSK AES
Select this to use the WPA-PSK AES/WPA2-PSK AES.
- WPA-PSK TKIP
Select this to use the WPA-PSK TKIP.
- WPA-Enterprise-TKIP
Select this to use the WPA-Enterprise-TKIP.
This option appears only if the optional device memory is installed and Data Encryption is enabled on your printer.
- WPA-Enterprise-AES/WPA2-Enterprise-AES
Select this to use the WPA-Enterprise-AES/WPA2-Enterprise-AES.
This option appears only if the optional device memory is installed and Data Encryption is enabled
on your printer.
- Mixed Mode PSK
Select this to use the Mixed Mode PSK.
- Mixed Mode Enterprise
Select this to use the Mixed Mode Enterprise.
This option appears only if the optional device memory is installed and Data Encryption is enabled
on your printer.
WEP
Transmit Key
Select the WEP key number from drop-down list.
WEP Key 1
WEP Key 2
WEP Key 3
WEP Key 4
Enter the WEP Key within 26 bytes.
The WEP key is displayed in circles (●), regardless of whether it has already been set or not.
To enter a WEP key, delete all the circles and then enter the WEP key. If the text box is blank, the original setting will remain active.
The asterisks (*) may be displayed instead of circles.
Re-enter WEP Key 1
Re-enter WEP Key 2
Re-enter WEP Key 3
Re-enter WEP Key 4
Enter the WEP Key again for confirmation.
WPA-PSK
This setting is valid when [WPA-PSK AES/WPA2-PSK AES], [WPA-PSK TKIP] or [Mixed Mode PSK] is selected in [Encryption].
Passphrase
Enter the passphrase from 8 to 63 bytes.
The passphrase is displayed in circles (●), regardless of whether it has already been set or not.
To enter a passphrase, delete all the circles and then enter the passphrase. A blank (null) cannot be set.
The asterisks (*) may be displayed instead of circles.
Re-enter Passphrase
Enter the passphrase again for confirmation.
WPA-Enterprise
This item appears only when your printer support the certificate created by other certificate authority.
EAP-Identity
Enter the ID for WPA-Enterprise authentication within 32 bytes. The characters that can be entered include alphanumeric characters and symbols.
Authentication Method
Select the authentication method from the following.
- PEAPV0 MS-CHAPV2
Select this to use the PEAPV0 MS-CHAPV2.
- EAP-TLS
Select this to use the EAP-TLS.
- EAP-TTLS PAP
Select this to use the EAP-TTLS PAP.
- EAP-TTLS CHAP
Select this to use the EAP-TTLS CHAP.
Login Name
Enter the login user name for WPA-Enterprise authentication within 32 bytes. The characters that can be entered include alphanumeric characters and symbols.
Password
Specifies the login password for WPA-Enterprise authentication within 32 bytes. The characters that can be entered include alphanumeric characters and symbols.
The password is displayed in circles (●), regardless of whether it has already been set or not.
To enter a password, delete all the circles and then enter the password. A blank (null) cannot be set.
The asterisks (*) may be displayed instead of circles.
Re-enter Password
Enter the login password entered in [Password] for verification.
[Apply] button
[Undo] button
