Protocol Settings - SNMP
This page allows you to configure the settings for SNMP.
SNMP v1/v2c or SNMP v3 can be configured.
Enable SNMP v1/v2c Protocols
Select the [Enable SNMP v1/v2c Protocols] check box.
Click the [Edit SNMP v1/v2c Properties] button to edit the settings for [Enable SNMP v1/v2c Protocols].
Enable SNMP v3 Protocol
Select the [Enable SNMP v3 Protocol] check box.
Click the [Edit SNMP v3 Properties] button to edit the settings for [Enable SNMP v3 Protocol].
This button is active only when the SSL/TLS Server Communication feature is enabled.
Protocol Settings - SNMP v1/v2c
This page allows you to configure the settings for SNMP v1/v2c protocols.
Community Name
Community Name (Read only)
Enter a Read Only community name within 31 bytes. The default community name is "public".
Re-enter Community Name (Read Only)
Re-enter the Read Only community name entered in [Community Name (Read only)] for verification.
Community Name (Read/Write)
Enter a Read/Write community name within 31 bytes. The default community name is "private".
Re-enter Community Name (Read/Write)
Re-enter the Read/Write community name entered in [Community Name (Read/Write)] for verification.
TRAP Community Name
Enter a trap community name within 31 bytes. The default community name is "SNMP_trap".
Re-enter Community Name (Trap Notification)
Re-enter the Trap Notification community name entered in [TRAP Community Name] for verification.
Configuration1-4
Trap Address Type
Select the address type from [Off], [IPv4], or [IPv6].
- Off
If [Off] is selected, trap occurrences are not notified, and any address you specify here will be reset to the default (0.0.0.0:0) when saved.
- IPv4
Select [IPv4] if the destination is an IPv4 address.
- IPv6
Select [IPv6] if the destination is an IPv6 address.
Trap Destination Address
Enter the IP address according to the address type.
- To specify an IPv4 address
Enter the IPv4 address in the "aaa.bbb.ccc.ddd" format. Values "aaa", "bbb", and "ccc" must be numbers between 0 and 255, except that "aaa" cannot be 127 or any number between 224 and 254.
- To specify an IPv6 address
Enter the IPv6 address in the format of "aaaa:bbbb:cccc:dddd:eeee:ffff:gggg:hhhh". Each IP address field (xxxx) must be a hexadecimal value between 0 and ffff. Except the first field, zeros can be omitted. For example, "2001:db8::1" is equal to "2001:0db8:0000:0000:0000:0000:0000:0001".
Port Number
Enter the port number (UDP) between 0 and 65535.
Notify
Select this when notifying trap occurrences.

Select this when notifying the authentication error trap.
Protocol Settings - SNMP v3
This page allows you to configure the settings for SNMP v3 protocols.
The following settings will become active after rebooting the printer from CentreWare Internet Services or manually turning off and on the printer.
Turning off your printer will clear the data in the main memory but not the one stored in the optional device memory, if installed.
Administrator Account
The following items are displayed:
Account Enabled
Select the [Enabled] check box to enable the System Administrator account.
User Name
Displays the user name of the System Administrator.
Authentication Password (8 - 32 Bytes)
Enter an authentication password using 8 to 32 bytes.
The characters that can be entered include alphanumeric characters and symbols.
The password is displayed in circles (●), regardless of whether it has already been set or not.
To enter a password, delete all the circles and then enter the password. A null or space cannot be set.
The asterisks (*) may be displayed instead of circles.
Confirm Authentication Password (8 - 32 Bytes)
Re-enter the authentication password for verification.
Privacy Password (8 - 32 Bytes)
Enter a privacy password using 8 to 32 bytes.
The characters that can be entered include alphanumeric characters and symbols.
The password is displayed in circles (●), regardless of whether it has already been set or not.
To enter a password, delete all the circles and then enter the password. A null or space cannot be set.

Confirm Privacy Password (8 - 32 Bytes)
Re-enter the privacy password for verification.
Print Drivers / Remote Client Account
The following items are displayed:
Account Enabled
Select the [Enabled] check box to enable the print drivers/remote clients account.
Reset to default Password
Click the [Execute] button to reset the password to the default.
