Protocol Settings - LDAP Server
This page allows you to configure the settings for the LDAP server/directory.
The following settings will become active after rebooting the printer from CentreWare Internet Services or manually turning off and on the printer.
Turning off your printer will clear the data in the main memory but not the one stored in the optional device memory, if installed.
Server Information
IP Address / Host Name & Port
Enter the LDAP server address and port number.
- LDAP Server Address
Enter the IP address connected to the server via LDAP protocol, or enter the FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) within 64 bytes.
The characters that can be entered include alphanumeric characters, periods (.), and hyphens (-).
- LDAP Server Port Number
Enter the port number to be used on the LDAP server within 5 bytes.
When LDAPS (LDAP over SSL) is disabled, the port number can be 389, 3268, and any number between 5000 and 65535. When LDAPS (LDAP over SSL) is enabled, 636 and 3269 can also be used.
LDAP Server
Displays the directory application.
LDAP-SSL/TLS
Click the [SSL/TLS Server Communication] link to enable LDAP using SSL/TLS communication. When clicked, the [SSL/TLS Server Communication] page appears.
Optional Information (for Server Address/Phone Book)
Search Directory Root
Enter the search directory root within 255 bytes. Control characters cannot be set.
Login Credentials to Access LDAP Server
Select whether to log into the LDAP server using the user settings specified on this page. Select [None] to log in as an anonymous user, or [System] to log in with the following [Login Name] and [Password] settings.
Login Name
Enter the administrative login user name for the LDAP server within 255 bytes. Control characters can not be set.
Password
Enter the administrative login password of the LDAP server within 127 bytes. The characters that can be entered include alphanumeric characters and symbols, except for control characters and a null.
The password is displayed in circles (●), regardless of whether it has already been set or not.
To enter a password, delete all the circles and then enter the password. If the text box is left blank, the original setting will remain active.
The asterisks (*) may be displayed instead of circles.
Re-enter Password
Re-enter the password entered in [Password] for verification.
Search Timeout
Select the timeout period of the search.
- Wait LDAP Server Limit
Select this to enable this setting.
- Wait
Select this to enable this setting, and enter any number within the range of 5 to 120 seconds.
Search Name Order
Select the search name order.
Server Address Book
Select this to use the server address book.
Server Phone Book
Select this to use the server phone book.
