Registering a New Device (Using a Computer)

Register devices using FUJIFILM IWpro Device Setup to automatically install the plug-ins required for each service to the devices.

  • Do not perform other operations on the device until the procedure on this page is complete. Also note the following.
    • Do not touch the control panel or power supply of the device.
    • Do not access Internet Services. If you are logged in, log off and wait about 40 seconds before starting the procedure.
    • Do not perform operations such as printing.
    • Do not receive faxes.
    • If you are using Smart WelcomEyes, do not approach the device. Also make sure to temporarily disable Smart WelcomEyes.
  1. Double-click "FUJIFILMIWproDeviceSetup.exe".
  2. Select [Authentication by FUJIFILM BI Direct User], then click [Next].

  3. Enter the user ID and password for FUJIFILM IWpro, then click [Login].

    • [Authentication by Registration Code] is also available as a method for registering devices without using the user ID and password of an administrator.
      Select [Authentication by Registration Code] in step 2 and log in by entering the registration code included in the e-mail sent when you made a contract for FUJIFILM IWpro.
    • There is an expiration date for the registration code.
    • When logging in with a registration code, RSS notification cannot be configured for device usage status in the Device function.
  4. Select the tenant of the device to configure, then click [Next].

    • The tenant selection screen is only displayed when the user to log in with belongs to multiple tenants.

  5. Select [Register New Device], then click [Next].

  6. Enter the IP address or host name of the device to register.
    To enter one device at a time
    1. Enter the IP address/host name of the device in [Device IP Address/Host Name], then click [Add].

      Communication is performed with the device using the IP address/host name that you enter.
    2. Enter the ID and password of the device system administrator, then click [OK].

      The device is added to the device list.
    To enter multiple devices
    1. Click [Import and Batch Add].

    2. On the screen for adding multiple devices, click [Download Template File] to download a CSV file for device registration.

    3. Enter the IP address, administrator ID, and password of each device in the device information file, based on the template file for device registration.
    4. On the screen for adding multiple devices, click [Browse], then select the device information file.

    5. Click [Import and Add].

      The device is added to the device list.

      • If the administrator ID and password are not entered or are incorrect, the administrator information entry screen is displayed.
  7. On the device registration screen, confirm that the check box of the target device is selected, then click [Next].

    Confirm that "Can be registered." is displayed in the [Status] column of the [Device List] list.
    A device with any other message displayed in the [Status] column cannot be registered.

    • You can select up to 100 devices. If 100 devices are already selected, extra devices cannot be added from [Add] or [Import and Batch Add].
    • If a device that cannot connect is selected in the device list, a message prompting you to reselect the devices is displayed when you click [Next].
  8. Select [Install] for the functions to install to the device, then click [Next].

    • The displayed functions differ according to the license you have a contract for.
  9. Configure the various items on the following screens according to the function to use.
    When the settings are complete, the setting confirmation screen is displayed.
  10. Click [Register].

    • If a device cannot be registered, it is displayed in [Devices That Cannot Install or Delete Features]. Click [Browse] for the [Details/Solution] field, and confirm the displayed information.

    The required software is installed to the device, according to the selected function.
  11. Register RSS.
    This operation is only required if you are using the Device function and want to configure RSS. Otherwise it is not required.
    1. Select the [Proceed to RSS Receiving Settings] check box, and click [Next].
    2. On the RSS reception settings screen, select [RSS Reader Used], then follow the instructions on the screen to register RSS.
  12. Click [Close] to exit FUJIFILM IWpro Device Setup.

    • If [Close] is not displayed, click [Main Menu] to return to the menu screen.
