Setting the operating environment [Preferences] dialog box

Set the operating environment of Desk or Viewer in the [Preferences] dialog box.
Use this dialog box to set the operation preferences for Desk or Viewer.
[Categories] in the left area is divided into [DocuWorks Viewer Options], [DocuWorks Desk Options], and [Common Settings]. The content displayed in the right area varies depending on the item selected in the left area.
Note
[Extended Folder] under [DocuWorks Desk Options] will appear only when you display the [Preferences] dialog box from Desk. This option will not appear when you display the dialog box from Viewer.

[DocuWorks Viewer Options]

[When Starting Up]

Use this tab to set the preferences applied immediately after Viewer is started. [When Starting Up] is initially selected when you display the [Preferences] dialog box from Viewer.

[View]

Use this tab to set the preferences applied when a document is opened.

[Full Screen Display]

Use this tab to set the display format applied in full screen view.

[Signature]

Use this tab to set the preferences applied when a document is saved with a signature.

[Design]

Use this tab to set the preferences such as the background color for the selected string, highlight color for text, and the style of the windows.

[Others]

Use this tab to set the save destination for new documents and whether to insert line breaks when copying text from body.

[DocuWorks Desk Options]

[General]

Use this tab to set the appearance of DocuWorks Desk, the recycle bin, background processing when printing, and files to be opened when starting Desk.

[Document Operation]

Use this tab to specify document operation such as how to operate when double-clicking a document.

[Import Files]

Use this tab to specify how to import application files and image files.

[Scan and Import]

Use this tab to specify the paper size, color image quality and compression rate.

[Save Scanned Document]

Use this tab to specify a location and a document name for saving a scanned document.

[View]

Use this tab to specify how to display files in the workspace and the items in list view.

[Extended Folder]

Set an extended folder to be displayed.
This tab is displayed only if an extendable tool is installed. The following extendable tool is available.

[Common Settings]

[Log]

Configure settings related to DocuWorks operation log.

[Notifications]

Use this tab to configure settings related to update notifications.

[Network Settings]

Use this tab to configure network settings.

[Cloud Service Linkage Settings]

Use this tab to set linkage with a cloud service.

[OK]

Applies the settings you have changed and closes the dialog box.

[Apply]

Applies the settings you have changed. Selecting this does not close the dialog box.

[Cancel]

Cancels the settings and closes the dialog box.
