[Link Properties] dialog box - [Advanced] tab

[Link Properties] dialog box appears when you select a link annotation and then select [Properties] from the [Edit] menu.

[Display]

[Title]

Enter the title which will be displayed in the link annotation. The name cannot exceed 255 alphanumerical characters.

[Display Icon]

Select whether to show or hide the icon of the links target in link annotations. Select this check box to display an icon in the link annotation. By default, this box is cleared.

[Transparent view]

Makes a link annotation transparent. By default, this box is cleared.

[Auto resize to title]

Changes the size of the link annotation automatically to match the title. By default, this box is selected. When the check box is not selected, the size of the link annotation can be randomly created.

[Set Tooltip]

Specify any character string for the tool tip which appears when you point the cursor to a link annotation.
If the check box is selected, the character string set in [Tooltip] appears. If you clear this check box, the character string created automatically is displayed. If you select this box, and if you enter nothing in [Set Tooltip], the tooltip will not be displayed.
By default, this box is cleared.
Note
The tool tip created automatically is displayed as follows depending on the [Link type] and the link target specified by [DocuWorks File Settings] dialog box.
  • For the link of [Web page], URL is displayed.
    Examples:https://www.fujifilm.com/fb/
  • For the link of [DocuWorks data], and when the link destination is [Page] or [Current file], the page is displayed.
    Examples: Page 10 of current document
  • For the link of [DocuWorks data] and the link target is [Page], [Other files], a paths to the page and the path to file are displayed.
    Examples: Page 2 of the binder (C:\Windows\desktop\binder.xbd)
  • For the link of [DocuWorks data] and the link target is [Current file], of [Link annotation], the link title is displayed.
    Examples: To next page
  • For the link of [DocuWorks data] and the link target is [Other files] of [Link annotation], the title and the path to file are displayed.
    Examples: To next page (C:\Windows\desktop\test.xdw)
  • For the link of [Other files], path to other file is displayed.
    Examples: C:\Windows\desktop\word.doc
  • For the link of [E-mail address], the mail address is displayed.
    Examples: aaa.bbb@fujifilm.com

[Tooltip]

Enter simple information on a link target. You can enter up to 75 alphanumeric characters.

[Link type]

Specify the link target.
The default setting is [DocuWorks data].
Choices:
  • [Web page]
    Specifies a Web page or a file on the network as a link target.
  • [DocuWorks data]
    Specifies a DocuWorks document or a binder as a link target.
  • [Other files]
    Specifies a file other than DocuWorks document or binder as a link target.
  • [E-mail address]
    Specifies a mail address as a link target.
Note
If document names in the binder contain characters from another language, you cannot specify the name as a link target.

[Settings]

When you click the button, the dialog box in which you can set details of the link target set by [Link type] appears. The dialog box that appears, differs depending on the link target.
