Common Properties of Annotations - [Color and line] tab
The following tab is displayed in the property of all annotations in common.

This section describes the [Color and line] tab.
The properties that can be set in the [Color and line] tab of each type of the annotation are as follows.
You cannot modify the contents of [Color and line] tab in the link annotations, title annotations, bitmap annotations, OLE annotations, and date and time annotations.
Text
[Line]
Specify whether to display the frame border for the text.
[Color]
Select the frame border color from among 16 colors. Click [Other Colors] to create a custom color in the [Color] dialog box.
[Transparent]
This item cannot be set.
[Weight]
Select the line width of the frame border. The unit is pt. You can also enter the line width using an integer between 1 to 13.
[Type]
This item cannot be set.
[Fill]
Specify whether to color the background color of the text.
[Color]
Specify the background color for the text from 16 options. Click [Other Colors] to create a custom color in the [Color] dialog box.
[Transparent]
The color selected in [Color] is turned transparent, making the text background transparent.
[Arrowhead]
This item cannot be set.
NotePad
[Line]
This item cannot be set.
[Fill]
[Custom] is always selected.
[Color]
Specify a color for the notepad from 9 options. Click [Other Colors] to create a custom color in the [Color] dialog box.
[Transparent]
This item cannot be set.
[Arrowhead]
This item cannot be set.
Line
[Line]
[Custom] is always selected.
[Color]
Specify a color for the line from 16 options. Click [Other Colors] to create a custom color in the [Color] dialog box.
[Transparent]
The color selected for [Color] becomes transparent, and the back of the line becomes see-through.
You cannot specify [Transparent] for broken line and chain line.
You cannot specify [Transparent] for broken line and chain line.
[Weight]
Specify the thickness for the line. The unit is point. You can enter an integer from 1 to 30.
[Type]
Specify a line type.
[Fill]
This item cannot be set.
[Arrowhead]
[Type]
Specify an arrowhead type.
[Style]
Specify a style for an arrowhead if the arrowhead type is set other than [None].
FreeHand
[Line]
[Custom] is always selected.
[Color]
Specify a color for the line from 16 options. Click [Other Colors] to create a custom color in the [Color] dialog box.
[Transparent]
The color selected for [Color] becomes transparent, and the back of the line becomes see-through.
Note
If you select this box, the annotation becomes a marker annotation.
[White] can be used as an eraser.

Note
When you create the freehand annotations with DocuWorks 6 or earlier, and then edit the freehand annotations and save the document with DocuWorks 7 or later, the file size may be larger.
Rectangle
[Line]
Specify whether to display a frame line of the rectangle.
[Color]
Specify a color for the frame from 16 options. Click [Other Colors] to create a custom color in the [Color] dialog box.
[Transparent]
This item cannot be set.
[Weight]
Specify a thickness for the line. The unit is point. You can enter an integer from 1 to 30.
[Type]
This item cannot be set.
[Fill]
Specify whether to fill the inside of the rectangle.
[Color]
Specify a color to fill from 16 options. Click [Other Colors] to create a custom color in the [Color] dialog box.
[Transparent]
The color selected for [Color] becomes transparent, and the back of the rectangle becomes see-through.
[Arrowhead]
This item cannot be set.
Ellipse
[Line]
Specify whether to display a frame line of the ellipse.
[Color]
Specify a color for the frame from 16 options. Click [Other Colors] to create a custom color in the [Color] dialog box.
[Weight]
Specify a thickness for the line. The unit is point. You can enter an integer from 1 to 30.
[Type]
This item cannot be set.
[Fill]
Specify whether to fill inside of the ellipse tool.
[Color]
Specify a color to fill from 16 options. Click [Other Colors] to create a custom color in the [Color] dialog box.
[Transparent]
The color selected for [Color] becomes transparent, and the back of the line becomes see-through.
[Arrowhead]
This item cannot be set.
Polygon
[Line]
Specify whether to display a frame line of the polygon.
[Color]
Specify a color for the frame from 16 options. Click [Other Colors] to create a custom color in the [Color] dialog box.
[Weight]
Specify a thickness for the line. The unit is point. You can enter an integer from 1 to 30.
[Type]
This item cannot be set.
[Fill]
Specify whether to fill inside of the polygon tool.
[Color]
Specify a color to fill from 16 options. Click [Other Colors] to create a custom color in the [Color] dialog box.
[Transparent]
The color selected for [Color] becomes transparent, and the back of the polygon is see-through.
[Arrowhead]
[Type]
Specify the arrowhead type.
[Style]
Specify the shape of the arrowhead.
Date Stamp
[Line]
[Custom] is always selected.
[Color]
You can select a color from 16 colors. Click [Other Colors] to create a custom color in the [Color] dialog box.
Items other than the above cannot be set.
Received Stamp
[Line]

Shapes
[Line]

Grouped annotation
If grouped annotation includes annotations whose color and line properties can be set, you can specify the properties. Settings made here are not applied to the annotations which have no color or line properties.
