Selecting and Copying Text
You can copy or move a block of text from a page to a document in another application.
Selecting text
Procedure
1.
When you select [Text Selecting Mode], the cursor shape changes as shown below.

When you select [Flexi Mode], the cursor shape changes as shown above when you place the mouse pointer over a text.

When you select [Flexi Mode], the cursor shape changes as shown above when you place the mouse pointer over a text.
2.
Drag the cursor to select a text block.
In "Continuous Page" view, you can select text across the page border.
In "Continuous Page" view, you can select text across the page border.
For applications pages, the text is selected on character basis. For OCR results of image pages, the text is selected in lines or by pages.
Note
- You can use [Select All] from the [Edit] menu to select all text.
- You can also select application pages in the preview window of the Desk.
Copying text
You can copy the following types of text:
- Text of an application page
- Text from an OCR result of an image page
Procedure
1.
Select a text in text selecting mode or Flexi mode.
2.
Select [Copy] from the [Edit] menu.
Alternatively, click
on the displayed text selection toolbar.

The selected text is copied to the clipboard.
3.
Paste the selected text to a document of other applications.
Note
- When the text is copied from an application page, the order they were displayed on the application page and the order they are pasted to the target document may not be the same.
- If you copy a text including characters from another language and paste it to an application that does not support Unicode, those characters are displayed as "?".
