Information Displayed on Tray Gadget

A tray is displayed as a gadget on the desktop.

This section explains information displayed on a tray gadget.

Graphic of documents loaded into tray

The graphic of documents loaded into a tray changes according to the number of documents in the tray. This allows you to know the approximate number of documents in a tray. The following shows an example where three documents are loaded into a tray.

Number of documents

Shows the number of files loaded in a tray on the right of the tray gadget.
The maximum number of documents is 999. If 1,000 or more files are stacked in a tray, "999+" is displayed.
If the number of files in a tray is 0, the number of documents is not displayed.
The following types of documents are not targeted for counting.
  • Document with copy-secure attribute
  • Document in a subfolder of a folder set to a tray

New icon

The "NEW" icon appears on the left of a tray gadget if a new document is included in a tray.

If the [Check for New Documents Automatically] check box is cleared in the [Tray Properties] dialog box, the icon shown below appears on the left of the tray gadget.

Error icon

The error icon appears in the following cases.
  • You cannot be connected to the remote folder set to a tray.
  • No access rights are assigned to the remote folder set to a tray.
  • The folder assigned to a tray is not found.
  • You cannot be connected to the service set for the save location type.

Description of tray

Clicking a tray gadget displays the contents you entered into [Description] of the [Tray Properties] dialog box on the tooltip.
