[Booklet / Poster / Mixed Size Originals] Screen

This screen is displayed by clicking [Booklet / Poster / Mixed Size Originals] on the [Basic] tab.

It enables you to use [Poster] and [Booklet]. It also enables you to configure the printing of documents with a mix of paper sizes or paper orientations.

[Off]

Select this when not using [Poster] or [Booklet].

[Poster]

Enlarges one page of a document to print it on multiple sheets of paper.

Crop marks can also be added to the print area of each sheet of paper to indicate where the printed paper overlaps. Images can also be printed on the overlapping areas.

  • [Poster] cannot be set at the same time as the following.
[Covers/Separators], [2-Sided Print], [Image Shift], [Print Mixed Size Originals], [Booklet], [Watermark], [Substitute Tray], or the staple function.
  • [Poster] can only be selected when [Edge Position] is set to [No Shift].

[Style]

Specifies the number of sheets to divide the image into when enlarging.

[Add Crop Marks]

Adds crop marks indicating the areas where the output paper overlap.

[Print Image on Overlap]

Prints images on the overlapping areas. This enables you to cut off the edges when aligning the paper for a cleaner finish.

[Booklet]

Creates a booklet by bi-folding the paper.

When there are too many pages for bi-folding all the sheets together, they can be divided into several stacks for bi-folding.

[Bind Edge]

Specifies the binding edges of the booklet.

[Divide]

Divides the bi-folded paper into multiple stacks. You can specify the number of stacks in [Custom Divide].

[Booklet Finishing]

If you set [Booklet Fold], the output paper is bi-folded. If you set [Booklet Fold and Staple], the output paper is bi-folded and stapled.

[Binding Edge Erase]

Select this check box to add binding edges to the center of the paper for booklet creation. Specify the width of the binding edges in [Margins]. When the [Auto-fit] check box is selected, the document is automatically reduced to fit inside the print area that was made smaller by adding binding edges.

[Units]

Configure the units for the binding edges.

Rotates the image by 180 degrees when printing.

[Mixed Orientation]

When printing with [Pages Per Sheet (N-Up)] selected, this sets the orientation for a document with a mix of portrait and landscape pages.

[Print Mixed Size Originals]

When a document has a mix of different page sizes, this sets whether to automatically rotate the pages of the document to have the same orientation when printing.

  • Only the following combinations of paper sizes are available when [Staple] and [Hole Punch] are set at the same time.
    • A3 (297 × 420 mm) and A4 (210 × 297 mm)
    • B4 (257 × 364 mm) and B5 (182 × 257 mm)
    • Tabloid (11 × 17") and Letter (8.5 × 11")
