[Add Certificate] dialog box

This dialog box appears when you select [Add] in the [Security Settings - Digital Certificate (256bit V8 or later/128bit V5 or later)] dialog box.
Use this dialog box to select a certificate which gives permission for opening documents and for full access.

[Target of search]

[Local list]

[Search conditions settings] is ignored, and all the certificates listed in [Personal] and [Other people] tabs in [Certificates] of Windows are displayed in the [Certificate].

[Local search]

Searches the certificates from [Personal] and [Other people] tabs in [Certificates] of Windows according to the [Search conditions settings].

[Remote search]

Searches the certificates from the LDAP server according to the [Search conditions settings]. The LDAP server that is a target of the search is the server that you configured at [Remote Settings] in the [Preferences] dialog box. Accesses the LDAP server according to the LDAPv3.

[Search conditions settings]

[Search properties]

You can select the way to search from by the name or the mail address.

[Search term]

Enter the character string included in the name or the mail address. You can enter only one byte character. You cannot enter the wild-card character.

Combination of [Target of search] and [Search conditions settings]
  • The certificates including the keyword in "CN" of the "Subject" field are searched when you select the [Local search] in the [Target of search] and the [Name] in the [Search properties].
  • The certificates including the keyword in "rfc822name" of the "SubjectAlternativeName" are searched when you select the [Local search] in the [Target of search] and the [E-mail address] in the [Search properties].
  • The LDAP objects including the keyword in "CN", "SN", or "givenName" properties are searched when you select the [Remote search] in the [Target of search] and the [Name] in the [Search properties].
  • The LDAP objects including the keyword in "mail" properties are searched when you select the [Remote search] in the [Target of search] and the [E-mail address] in the [Search properties].

[Find]

Searches according to the settings of the [Target of search] and [Search conditions settings], and then lists the result in [Certificate].

[Certificate]

Certificates that are searched appears according to the settings of the [Target of search] and [Search conditions settings]. You can display up to 1,020 certificates.
Note
For the [Remote search], the maximum number of acquirable search results may be less than 1,020 according to the LDAP server settings.

When you select one or multiple certificates, then click [OK], the certificates are added to [Security Settings (Digital Certificate)] dialog box.
Certificates in the [Personal] tab of [Certificates] appear with a key mark.

To whom the certificate was issued ("Issued To") is displayed in [Issued To] field.
By whom the certificate was issued ("Issued By") is displayed in [Issued By] field.
The date and time on which the certificate will expire is displayed in [Expiration Date] field.

[Certificate Attributes]

Displays the information of the selected certificate. You can confirm whether you can use the certificate, and confirm the "Issued to", "Issued by", its expiration date, and serial number.
