[PDF Setting] dialog box

This dialog box appears when you select [PDF File] from the [Format] in the [Image Converter] dialog box, choose [Color] from [Color/Monochrome], and click [Details].
You can specify settings for conversion to PDF files.

[Convert to high-compressed PDF]

Converts a document into a high-compressed PDF file without MRC.
Note
If the color display property is set to use 256 colors on the display, conversion cannot be executed.
If the color display property is set to use less than 256 colors on the display, clear the checkmark from the [Convert to high-compressed PDF] box before executing conversion.

[Image quality and compression rate]

Specify the quality and compression rate for image conversion.
The default is [Normal].
  • [Priority on compression rate]
    Image processing which gives priority to small size over high quality
  • [Normal]
    Image processing using a standard compression rate. The resulting size is slightly greater than with [Priority on compression rate].
  • [Priority on image quality]
    Image processing which gives priority to high quality over small size. The resulting size is greater than with standard.

[Defaults]

[Convert to high-compressed PDF] and [Convert at high-speed] are selected and [Image quality and compression rate] becomes [Normal].
