Exporting Documents from a Binder
You can export documents stored in a binder to Desk or to another application such as the Windows Explorer or the desktop, using the [Binder Index] dialog box.
This topic describes the following:
About exported documents
Documents exported from a binder become regular DocuWorks documents. They will have the following settings:
- The name of an exported document is the same as the name it had in the binder. If the name of the document has been changed in the binder, it does not return to the name that the document had before being imported to the binder.
- The header and footer settings are reset to the settings the document had before being imported to the binder.
- If you have edited the original data attached to a document in the binder, they are not restored to the state before the document was imported.
- The created, modified, and accessed dates and times of the exported document are set to the date and time that it was exported.
- The properties of the document are not modified. The document properties of the binder are not affected either.
- The Unicode characters of the document name are converted into the multi-byte code. The Unicode characters which cannot be converted to the multi-byte code are changed to "_".
Note
If you export a document to the page sorter view of Viewer, the document is added as pages of the document displayed.
