Importing Documents to a Binder
You can import one or more documents into a binder. The documents are imported into a binder while retaining their original data, the header and footer information, and the properties.
Important
The following types of documents cannot be imported into a binder:
- DocuWorks protected documents
- DocuWorks signed documents
- Files other than DocuWorks files

Importing documents in thumbnail view
Procedure
1.
Drag-and-drop one or more documents from Desk to a binder.
The documents are added to the position specified in the [Preferences] dialog box. If you selected multiple documents, they are added in the order they were selected.
Importing documents with the [Binder Index] dialog box
In the [Binder Index] dialog box, you can import documents to a binder from Desk or other applications such as the Windows Explorer. You can use any of the following methods to import documents:
Importing document using the [Import Document] dialog box
Procedure
1.
From the list in the [Binder Index] dialog box, select the document following the target position to which you want to import documents, then select [Import Document] from the [File] menu.
To import documents to the end of the binder, select the menu command without selecting a document in the list.
To import documents to the end of the binder, select the menu command without selecting a document in the list.
The [Import Document] dialog box appears.
2.
Specify one or more documents you want to import, then click [Open].
The specified documents are imported to the binder. If you selected multiple documents, they are added in the order they were selected.
Importing documents by copying-and-pasting or cutting-and-pasting
Procedure
1.
Copy or cut one or more documents from Desk, the [Binder Index] dialog box for another document, or another application such as the Windows Explorer.
2.
From the list in the [Binder Index] dialog box, select the document following the target position to which you want to import documents, then select [Paste] from the [Edit] menu.
To import documents to the end of the binder, paste the document without selecting a document in the list.
To import documents to the end of the binder, paste the document without selecting a document in the list.
The selected documents are imported to the binder.
Importing documents by dragging-and-dropping
Procedure
1.
Drag one or more documents from Desk, the [Binder Index] dialog box for another document, or another application such as the Windows Explorer and drop them on the [Binder Index] dialog box of the target binder.
The selected documents are imported to the binder. The selected documents are imported to the binder. If you selected multiple documents, they are added in the order they were selected.
