Tray Window
The tray window displays files stored in a tray.
- The tray window shows files only. Folders are not displayed, nor are hidden files.
- The tray window does not support "Undo" and "Redo" for any of its functions.
List in list view
To display files in list view mode, click
in the lower left of the tray window or right-click in the tray window, and select [List View] in the pop-up menu. This displays a list of files stored in a tray in list view mode. The list provides the following items.

Note
The displayed items may be different depending on the save location type of the document.
[Name]
Displays the tray name. The icon associated with the file type is displayed on the left of the name.
[New]
Displays "New" for a new document. This item is blank for other than new documents.
[Modified]
Displays the date and time when the file was last refreshed.
[Size]
Displays the file size.
[Type]
Displays the file type.
[Property Name*1 (Type*2)]
Values for attributes that match conditions that you set in [Filter and Display Documents by Specific Attributes] are displayed. This field is empty if there are no values for those attributes.

Sorting files
Clicking an item title sorts files in ascending or descending order based on the item value.
Enlarged display of a DocuWorks file
While holding down the <Ctrl>+<Shift> keys, place the mouse cursor over the row of the target DocuWorks file. The tray window pops up to display an enlarged image of the top page.
In this enlarged image, any annotations that extend outside the page are only partially displayed (part within the page frame).
Enlarged display of security-protected DocuWorks files is not possible.
If you are using a Windows tablet terminal, tap the DocuWorks file thumbnail with two fingers to display an enlarged image of the top page. The display of the enlarged image ends when you tap any part of the screen while the image is displayed.
In this enlarged image, any annotations that extend outside the page are only partially displayed (part within the page frame).
Enlarged display of security-protected DocuWorks files is not possible.
If you are using a Windows tablet terminal, tap the DocuWorks file thumbnail with two fingers to display an enlarged image of the top page. The display of the enlarged image ends when you tap any part of the screen while the image is displayed.

List in thumbnail view
To display files in thumbnail view mode, click
on the lower left of the tray window or right-click in the tray window, and select [Thumbnail View] in the pop-up menu. Files in a tray are displayed as follows.

Note
The file types that can be displayed as thumbnails may be different depending on the save location type of the document.
DocuWorks file
The first page is displayed as a thumbnail image. A DocuWorks file with no pages or an empty binder is displayed by an icon. A security-protected DocuWorks file is displayed as a thumbnail image when all the following conditions are satisfied.
- [Password (128bit V4 non-compatible)] or [Password (128bit V4 non-compatible)] is enabled.
- The open password is a null character string.
- Copying is not prohibited.
Note
A thumbnail image is not displayed while a DocuWorks file is being used. This is applied to, for example, a case where a document save folder is displayed from Internet Explorer and a DocuWorks document in the folder is opened using Viewer.
Image file
Image files with the following extensions are displayed as thumbnail images.
- tif
- tiff
- jpeg
- jpg
- jpe
- jfif
- bmp
Other files
Files other than the above are displayed by an icon.
Icon indicating a new document
For a new document, the icon indicating a new document appears on a thumbnail image.
Thumbnail layout and display size
Thumbnail images are only aligned as a layout, and they cannot be positioned freely. The thumbnail display size is common to all files.
Enlarged display of a DocuWorks file

Sorting thumbnail images
Thumbnail images can be sorted using [Align] in the pop-up menu.
Filtering
When the [Filter and Display Documents by Specific Attributes] check box in the [Tray Properties] dialog box is selected,
is displayed in the lower left of the Tray window.
When this option is enabled (default), only documents whose attributes match the conditions you set are displayed.

Pop-up menu
Right-clicking in the tray window opens the following pop-up menu.
[Open]
Opens a file.
Note
[Open] is available when the document in the tray window is right-clicked.
[Import Document]
Opens the [Import Document] dialog box. One or multiple files are moved to a tray.
If you failed to import document files because you selected too many files in the [Import Document] dialog box, the error message "Import failed. Reduce the number of documents to import." appears.

Shortcut key
<Ctrl>+<I>
[Export Document]
Opens the [Export Document] dialog box. One or multiple files you selected in a tray are moved to the specified location. The default is "User Folder" on Desk.
Note
[Export Document] is enabled when you right-click a document in the tray window.

[Select All]
Selects all files in a tray.

[Align]
Sorts files in the list based on their attributes.
If you re-select the previously selected attribute, the ascending and descending orders are switched to sort files.

[Property Name (Type)] is displayed when the [Filter and Display Documents by Specific Attributes] check box in the [Tray Properties] dialog box is selected.
[Thumbnail View]
Displays files in thumbnail view mode.
[List View]
Displays files in list view mode.
File operation in tray window
As shown below, you can drag and drop a target file to move or copy it from or to the tray window.
The tray window does not support the copy and paste function and the cut and paste function.

Button
[Refresh]
Refreshes the contents of the tray window to the latest status.
Note
You can also make the tray window active and press the <F5> key to refresh the contents of the tray window.
[Close]
Closes the tray window.

When one document is selected:
