Searching for Target Files
Use the attributes given to files as search criteria to search the registered documents.
Procedure
1.
In Desk, click [Document Property Entry (Search Attributes)] on the toolbar.
2.
Click [Browse] for [Search Location] on the [Basic] tab, and specify the location where to search for documents.
3.
To exclude the sub-folders from the search scope, clear the [Search subfolders also] check box.
4.
Select [Document Type] from the pulldown menu.
This makes the attributes defined for the selected document type available in [Attribute Name].
5.
Select [Match all conditions] or [Match any condition].
6.
Set the attribute of documents to search for.

Items corresponding to the type of the selected attribute are displayed.
For Text, List (Text), or Fixed List (Text) Enter a text string to search for, and select [Match] or [Include]. For Numeric Enter a range of numeric values to search for. For Date Enter a range of dates to search for. When Yes or No Select [Yes] or [No]. Clicking this button allows you to paste the copied text into the field. |
7.
If necessary, click [Detailed Settings] to set further search criteria.

To exclude document types from the search criteria, select the [Do not include document type in conditions] check box in [Document Type].
Note
To search for documents that were given attributes with Document Attribute Plug-in for DocuWorks, you must select this check box.
9.
Click [Search].
Clicking a document displayed in the search results allows you to check the corresponding document.
10.
To output the search results to a CSV file, click [CSV output], specify the save destination, and click [Save].
To change encoding of the CSV file and the output items, select [View] > [Options].
11.
Click [Close].
Note
The setting for [Search Location] cannot be saved.
Creating Plug-in Icons for Individual Sets of Search Criteria
You can register multiple [Document Property Entry (Search Attributes)] plug-in icons with the toolbar or task toolbar, and save search criteria to them separately.
To save the search criteria, follow the steps below.

- Click [Save conditions] on the [Search Attributes] screen.
- If the search criteria have been modified, when you attempt to close the [Search Attributes] screen, a message appears to confirm that you want to save the search criteria. Click [Yes].
Note
The setting for [Search Location] cannot be saved.
