Setting Document Types
The Document type option allows you to create a new document type, rename document types, and edit or delete attributes.
Selecting [Document type] displayed in [Attribute information] on the operation screen displays the attributes defined for the document type.
By default, "receipt", "invoice", "quotation", "delivery note" and "order form" are set as document types.

Note
- Up to 10 document types can be set.
- The settings of document types can be imported/exported.

Creating a new document type
Procedure
1.
Right-click [Document Property Entry (Edit Attributes)] on the Desk toolbar, and select [Properties].
The [Preferences] dialog box appears.
2.
Click the [Detailed Settings] tab.
3.
Click [New].
4.
Enter a name for the document type and click [OK].
Up to 20 characters can be entered.
5.
On the [Custom] tab in the [Edit {document type}] dialog box, set an attribute you want to define for the document type.
6.
Click [Add].
The attribute is added to [List].
7.
To set multiple attributes, repeat Steps 5 to 6.
8.
Click the [Destination settings] tab.
9.
Specify the destination the classified files will be registered with.
10.
Click [OK] in the [Preferences] dialog box.
Renaming a document type
Procedure
1.
Right-click [Document Property Entry (Edit Attributes)] on the Desk toolbar, and select [Properties].
The [Preferences] dialog box appears.
2.
Click the [Detailed Settings] tab.
3.
Select the document type whose name you want to change, and click [Rename].
4.
Enter a name for the document type and click [OK].
Up to 20 characters can be entered.
5.
Click [OK].
Edit properties of a document type
Procedure
1.
Right-click [Document Property Entry (Edit Attributes)] on the Desk toolbar, and select [Properties].
The [Preferences] dialog box appears.
2.
Click the [Detailed Settings] tab.
3.
Select a document type whose attribute definition you want to edit, and click [Properties].
4.
On the [Custom] tab, edit the defined attributes.
- Editing an attribute
Select the attribute you want to edit from [List], modify the attribute, and then click [Change].
The changes are not reflected until you click [Change]. - Adding an attribute
Set an attribute and click [Add]. First, enter [Attribute Name]. - Deleting an attribute
Select the attribute you want to delete from [List], and click [Delete].
5.
Click the [Destination settings] tab.
6.
Change the destination the classified files will be registered with.
7.
Click [OK].
8.
Click [OK] in the [Preferences] dialog box.
Importing/exporting document types
Procedure
1.
Right-click [Document Property Entry (Edit Attributes)] on the Desk toolbar, and select [Properties].
The [Preferences] dialog box appears.
2.
Click the [Detailed Settings] tab.
- Importing
Click [Import] and then [Yes].
Specify the file you want to import, click [Open] and then [OK]. - Exporting
Click [Export].
Specify the save destination, click [Save] and then [OK].
The document types are saved in a file with the extension ".ATMP".
3.
Click [OK] in the [Preferences] dialog box.
Deleting a document type
Procedure
1.
Right-click [Document Property Entry (Edit Attributes)] on the Desk toolbar, and select [Properties].
The [Preferences] dialog box appears.
2.
Click the [Detailed Settings] tab.
3.
Select the document type you want to delete, and click [Delete].
Click [Yes] in the displayed confirmation message.
Click [Yes] in the displayed confirmation message.
4.
Click [OK].
