[Text] tab [Find] dialog box

Use this tab to set a character string in a DocuWorks document or a PDF file as search criteria.

[Character string]

Enter the character string to search for. You can specify multiple character strings by delimiting them with spaces. If multiple character strings are specified, you can search documents containing any of the specified character strings. A character string cannot exceed 255 characters including delimiting spaces. Special characters such as carriage return and tab cannot be used.
Note
  • To search for a character string containing spaces, place double quotation marks (") before and after the character string.
  • If you want to search for a text string containing a double quotation mark ("), a back slash (\), or a space, precede the mark or character with a back slash.
  • A maximum of 10 character strings entered in [Character string] are saved as a history. You can select them from the [Character string] menu.

Note
  • In case of binders, when the [Documents in binders will also be the target.] check box of the [Name & Location] tab is selected, text strings in documents within binders will be the target.
  • When any check box is not selected, the text string is not searched even if it is entered.
