[Name & Location] tab [Find] dialog box
Use this tab to specify a file name and a location to save the current document as search criteria.
[Document name]
Enter the full or partial name of a document you want to search and select the name's search criteria from the right box. You can specify multiple document names by delimiting them with spaces. A document name can contain an extension. If you do not enter an extension, all DocuWorks files will be included for the search.
Note
- To search for a character string containing spaces, place double quotation marks (") before and after the character string.
- To include a space within a character string, enter "\" immediately before the space.
- You cannot specify only an extension as a document name. Also, you cannot use wild card such as "*.xdw".
- The document name cannot exceed 255 characters including spaces. Differences of uppercase and lowercase are ignored.
- Up to 10 character strings entered in [Document name] are saved as a history. You can select them by pulling down the [Document name] list box.
- You can specify multiple character strings as [Begin from] and [End with] criteria. In these cases, the system searches document names beginning or ending with any one of the specified character strings.
- When you want to search for document names on such condition as the string entered matches the file name, then select [Begin from] and enter a string with an extension.
