Security - Administrator Settings

This page allows you to configure the administrator ID and password, and select whether or not to prompt administrators to enter the ID and password every time they configure the administrative printer settings.

Administrator Mode
Select [Enabled] to prompt administrators to enter the administrator ID and password before administrative printer configuration.

Administrator Login ID
Enter an ID for the administrator within 8 bytes. The characters that can be entered include alphanumeric characters and symbols. A null cannot be set.

Administrator Password
Enter a password for the Administrator within 4 to 128 bytes. The characters that can be entered include alphanumeric characters and symbols. An empty password (null) or a password that is less than 4 bytes cannot be set.
The password is displayed in circles (●), regardless of whether it has already been set or not.
To enter a password, delete all the circles and then enter the password. A blank cannot be set.
The asterisks (*) may be displayed instead of circles.

Re-enter Password
Re-enter the password entered in [Administrator Password] for verification.

Maximum Login Attempts
Enter the maximum number of attempts to be permitted for the administrator login between 5 and 255. To permit an unlimited number of login attempts, enter "0".

The default ID and password are "11111" and "x-admin".
