Address Book

On the [Address Book] tab, you can check the list of the destinations and the forwarding destinations registered in the Address Book. In addition, you can specify the e-mail subject and body used when sending scanned documents from the printer by e-mail. The default ID and password are "11111" and "x-admin".

Address Book - Contact

Links to the [Contact] page of [Address Book] where you can create, change, and delete individual directory entry.

There are seven columns: [ID], [Name], [E-mail Address], [Phone Number], [Favorites], unnamed (reserved for [Delete]), and unnamed (reserved for [Add] or [Edit]).
When a name is not registered, the [Name] column lists "(Not in Use)". The [Add] or [Edit] column lists [Add]. The [E-mail Address], [Phone Number], [Favorites], and [Delete] columns are blank.
When you create a name, the name, e-mail address, and/or fax number are displayed in the [Name], [E-mail Address], and [Phone Number] columns. The [Add] or [Edit] column changes to [Edit], and [Delete] is displayed in the [Delete] column.
When the contact is registered as a favorite, and asterisk (*) is displayed in the [Favorites] column.
[ID] switches the registration numbers to be displayed on the list.

To create an entry:

Procedure

  1. Select any unused line and click [Add] to display the [Add Contact] page.

  2. For the [Name] field, enter the name of the contact within 64 bytes in UTF-8 encoding.

  3. For the [Index Key] field, enter an index name within 20 bytes in UTF-8 encoding.
    Contacts are sorted by indexes entered in [Index Key] when displayed in [Address Book] on the printer.

  4. For the [E-mail Address] field, enter the e-mail address within 64 bytes.
    For the [Phone Number] field, enter the fax number within 50 bytes. Numbers, asterisk (*), number sign (#), colon (:), equals sign (=), and hyphen (-) are acceptable.
    You can save the data with either one of [E-mail Address] or [Phone Number].

  5. For the [Favorites] field, specify whether to register frequently used contacts as favorites.
    You can easily and quickly select contacts from the favorites list in [Address Book] on the printer.

  6. Click [Apply].

To change an entry:

Procedure

  1. Click a name in the [Name] column or [Edit] to display the [Edit Contact] page.

  2. Edit the entries as required.

  3. Click [Apply].

To delete an entry:

  1. Click [Delete] to display the [Delete Contact] page.

  2. Click [OK] if you are sure you want to delete the selected entry.




Address Book - E-mail Groups

Links to the [E-mail Groups] page of [Address Book] where you can create, change, and delete e-mail group directory entry.

Address Book - FAX Groups

Address Book - Email Defaults

Links to the [Email Defaults] page of [Address Book] where you can set the default subject and body text for e-mails.

There are two text boxes: [Subject Text] and [Message Text]. In the [Subject Text] box, you can enter the default subject used for e-mail using alphanumeric characters, within 50 bytes. In the [Message Text] box, you can enter the default body text used for e-mail using alphanumeric characters, within 200 bytes.

Network Scan (Comp./Serv.) - Computer/Server Address Book

Links to the [Computer/Server Address Book] page of [Network Scan (Comp./Serv.)] where you can create, change and delete individual entries in [Directory List to:].

There are five columns: [No.], [Name (Displayed on Printer)], [Host Address (IP Address or DNS Name)], unnamed (reserved for [Delete]), and unnamed (reserved for [Add] or [Edit]).
When a server has not been added, the [Name (Displayed on Printer)] column lists "(Not in Use)". The [Add] or [Edit] column lists [Add]. The [Host Address (IP Address or DNS Name)] and [Delete] columns are blank.
When a server has been added to the listing, its information is displayed in the [Name (Displayed on Printer)] and [Host Address (IP Address or DNS Name)] columns. The [Add] or [Edit] column changes to [Edit], and [Delete] is displayed in the [Delete] column.
[Directory List to:] switches the registration numbers to be displayed on the list.

To create an entry:

Procedure

  1. Select any unused line and click [Add] in the last column to display the [Add Network Scan Address] page.

  2. For the [Name (Displayed on Printer)] field, enter a name for the server within 32 bytes in UTF-8 encoding.

  3. For the [Server Type] field, select a server type from [Server (FTP)] or [Computer (SMB)].

  4. For the [Host Address (IP Address or DNS Name)] field, enter the server address in IP address or FQDN format using alphanumeric characters within 64 bytes. Period (.), hyphen (-), and colon (:) are acceptable.

  5. For the [Port Number] field, enter the port number in the range specified. The range is 21 or any number between 1 and 65535 when you select [Server (FTP)] for [Server Type]. When you select [Computer (SMB)], the range is 139, 445 or any number between 1 and 65535. When the default port number is used, no entry is required.

  6. For the [Login Name (if required by host)] field, enter a login name for logging in using alphanumeric characters within 97 bytes. A space is acceptable as a character.

  7. For the [Login Password] field, enter a password using within 32 alphanumeric characters. A space is acceptable as a character.
    The password you entered is displayed as circles (●).
    The asterisks (*) may be displayed instead of circles (●) depending on your web browser.


  8. For the [Re-enter Password] field, re-enter the password entered in [Login Password] for verification.

  9. For the [Name of Shared Directory] field, enter a share name of the SMB server using alphanumeric characters within 32 bytes. A space is acceptable as a character.
    This is saved only when [Computer (SMB)] is selected for [Server Type].

  10. For the [Subdirectory Path (optional)] field, enter the server path using alphanumeric characters within 96 bytes. A space is acceptable as a character.

  11. Click [Apply].

To change an entry:

Procedure

  1. Click an entry in the [Name (Displayed on Printer)] column or [Edit] in the last column to display the [Edit Network Scan Address] page.

  2. Edit the entries as required.
    The [Server Type] entry cannot be changed.

To delete an entry:

  1. Click [Delete] in the fourth column to display the [Delete Network Scan Address] page.
