[Fax]

Set whether to enable use of the application.

[Fax Line]

Click the [Edit] button, and configure the settings.

[Fax Name] (Common)

Set the name to be used as the originator at the time of fax sending.

[Line 1] to [Line 3]

[G3 ID (Fax Number)]

Set your local G3 ID.

[Dial Type]

Set the dial type of fax lines.

[G3 Transmission]

Set the transmission.

[Line Selection]

Set regulations related to outgoing call for the fax line.

This screen is displayed if the following conditions are satisfied:
- The printer is in the "territory in which customer installation is adopted"
- The state of the fax line is normal

[Fax Name]

Set the name to be used as the originator at the time of fax sending by line.

[SIP Line]

[G3 ID (Fax Number)]

Set your local G3 ID.

[Fax Name]

[IP Fax (SIP) Settings]

[SIP]

This item is displayed when the IP fax feature is enabled.

[SIP Port]

Set whether to enable SIP capabilities.

[Port Number]

Set the port number for SIP.

[SIP Device Address]

Set the device address for SIP.

When the next generation network (NGN) is set to Enabled, and the way how to obtain the device's IP Fax address is set to Auto, the device's SIP address is obtained automatically.

[SIP Transport Protocol]

Set the type of transport protocol for SIP.

[Enable SIP Server]

Set whether to use the SIP server.

[SIP Server Settings]

This item is displayed when [Enable SIP Server] is set to [Yes]

Click the [Edit] button, and configure the settings.

[SIP Server IP Address Resolution]

Set how to obtain the address of the SIP server.

[Server Address]

Set the address and port number of the SIP server.

This item can be set when you select [STATIC] as the method for obtaining the address.

[Login Name]

Set the login name to access the SIP server.

[Password]/[Retype Password]

Set the password to access the SIP server.

[Server Type]

Set the type of the SIP server.

[VoIP Gateway]

Click the [Edit] button, and configure the settings.

[ID]

Set the ID for the VoIP gateway.

[Gateway Address]

Set the address of the VoIP gateway.

[Domain Filtering]

Click the [Edit] button, and set regulations related to outgoing call for the fax line.

[Next Generation Network (NGN) Settings]

[Enable]

Set whether to enable the next generation network (NGN).

[Caller ID Notification]

Set whether to enable notification of caller ID.

[Caller ID]

Displays the caller ID obtained from the system.

[IP Fax (SIP) Maximum Bandwidth]

Set the maximum bandwidth allowed for IP Fax.

[Auto Resend by Fax]

Set whether to have the Fax feature send failed faxes again automatically.

[T.38]

This item is displayed when the IP FAX feature is enabled.

[T.38 Transport Protocol]

Set the type of transport protocol for the T.38 communication.

[UDPTL Listening Port Number]

Set the number of the port listening to UDPTL communication.

[TCP Listening Port Number]

Set the number of the port listening to TCP communication.

[RTP Listening Port Number]

Set the number of the port listening to RTP communication.

[Prioritize IP Packets]

Set the DS field value used for QoS.

[Fax Control]

[G3 Sender ID - Fax]

Set whether to deliver the G3 ID of the fax.

[G3 Sender ID - IP Fax (SIP)]

Set whether to deliver the G3 ID of IP fax (SIP).

This item is displayed when the IP FAX feature is enabled.

[Transmission Interval]

Set the duration before the next time the action to automatically close the outgoing call is done.

[Batch Send]

Set whether to send multiple faxes in batch if their destination is identical.

[Direct Fax]

Set whether to use direct fax.

This item is displayed when the direct fax feature is enabled.

[Activity Report]

Configure the settings about auto-output of activity report.

[Broadcast Report]

Set when to output broadcast report.

[Polling / Storage for Remote Devices]

Set whether to allow remote access.

[Simple Log of Sent Fax Documents]

[Enabled]

Set whether to enable the feature of transferring simple logs of sent fax documents.

[Transfer Destination]

Set the transfer method and destination.

Note

With the settings for the attachment file to transfer destination, reordering of "Information to Be Appended to File Name" can be specified with the keyboard. For information, see "Working with "Information to Be Appended to File Name"".

[Common Settings]

This setting works also for Internet Fax App.

[Reconfirm Recipients]

Set the action to check recipients of outgoing fax.

[Rotate 90 degrees]

Set whether to let the printer rotate image orientation 90 degrees automatically.

This item is displayed when the Fax Rotation feature of the document feeder is enabled.

[Border Limit]

Set a threshold value applied for the action of splitting printed pages.

[Auto Reduce On Receipt]

Set whether to reduce fax images automatically at the time of fax receipt.

[2 Pages per Side On Receipt]

Set whether to receive fax while merging two pages in one.

[2 Sided Printing]

Set whether to do 2-sided printing.

This item is displayed when the 2-sided printing feature is enabled.

[Memory Full Procedure]

Set the printer behavior in case memory overflow occurs when it attempts to scan data.

[Maximum Stored Pages]

Set the upper limit of the number of stored pages.

[Transmission Report - Job Undelivered]

Set the automatic output of Transmission Report - Job Undelivered.

[Limit Output Destination Usage]

Set whether to use a dedicated output destination.

This item is displayed when there is more than one output tray that can be specified.

[Incoming Fax Settings]

[Fax Receiving Mode]

Set the operation mode at the time of fax receipt.

[Block Inbound Faxes]

[Block Unknown Fax Numbers]

Set to block incoming fax from anonymous calls that do not tell remote IDs.

[Blocked Fax Number]

Set IDs from which the calls are blocked.

[Filename Format]

Set the format in which filenames with date are auto-generated.

[Folder Selector by Telephone Number / G3 ID]

Note

If the IP FAX feature is disabled, this item is displayed as [Folder Selector by G3 ID].

[Enable]

Set whether to enable the folder selector by telephone number / G3 ID feature.

[Folder Selector List]

Register a folder selector by specifying [Service]/[Telephone Number / G3 ID]/[Folder Number].

Note

If the IP FAX feature is disabled, [Service] does not appear. Also, instead of [Telephone Number / G3 ID], [G3 ID] is displayed.

[Folder Selector Setup]

[Enable]

Set whether to enable the folder selector by incoming line feature.

[Folder Selector List]

Enter a folder number, and register a folder selector.

[Output Destination] (By Line)

Set the output destination.

This item is displayed when two or more output destinations are found. Only those equipped on the printer are displayed.

[Presets]

This setting works also for Internet Fax App.

Set the priority of original sizes to be displayed and the orientation displayed when a standard size is selected.
