Detailed Information:
A vulnerability exists in the lpd service for HP-UX systems. An unauthenticated attacker may issue a DoS attack on the victim lpd by sending malformed data to the lpd service and attempting to overflow a fixed length buffer. It may also be possible for an attacker to execute code of their choosing in the context of the user running lpd.
