Operating Attachments of a Document
You can attach files to a PDF document, and you can export and delete attachments of a PDF document.
Note
- You can select one file to operate its attachments at a time.
- You can attach up to 100 files to a document.
- You can attach to a document a file with a file size up to 100 MB.
- The attachments allowed to operate are those attached to the document. Those attached to pages as comments cannot be operated.
Opening the Attachment Operation Screen
Procedure
1.
Select a PDF document, and select [Attach Document(s) to PDF] from the quick menu.
Multiple documents cannot be selected.
Attaching Files
Procedure
1.
On the attachment operation screen, click the [Add] button.
2.
On the [Add] screen, select the check boxes for the files to attach, and click [OK].
The selected files will be displayed in the list on the attachment operation screen.
Note
You can also attach files by dragging-and-dropping them from the workspace onto the attachment operation screen.
Deleting Attachments
Procedure
1.
On the attachment operation screen, select the check boxes for the attachments to delete, and select [Delete] from [Batch Operation].
This step can also be done using the following menus:

A message will be displayed asking you whether you want to delete the attachments. To delete them, click [OK].
Exporting Attachments
Procedure
1.
On the attachment operation screen, select the check boxes for the attachments to export, and select [Export] from [Batch Operation].

You can also export attachments by dragging-and-dropping them from the attachment operation screen onto the workspace.
If a file with the same name already exists in the workspace, the file name will be automatically suffixed with a hyphen followed by a 5-digit number.

Editing Attachment Description
Procedure
1.
On the attachment operation screen, edit the [Description] of the attachment whose description you want to edit.
Note
You can enter up to 255 characters in [Description].
You cannot edit [Description] if there have been more than 255 characters.

Saving the Result of Attachment Operation
Procedure
1.
On the attachment operation screen, click [Save a Copy] to make the source document remain intact and create a new PDF document consisting of the operated result.
The new document is named as the name of the source document suffixed with a hyphen followed by a 5-digit number. Example: SourceDocument-00001.pdf

Note
To overwrite the source document with the operated result, check the [Overwrite Original Document and Save] check box, and click [Save].
