Caution on the use of the extension

  • Make sure you use the installer to install or uninstall the extension.
  • If you execute [Remove from Chrome] (Google Chrome) / [Remove extention] (Microsoft Edge) in the pop-up message or [Remove] on the Extensions screen, you will no longer be able to reinstall the extension even with the installer. If you deleted the extension in these ways, you can do a recovery in the following ways:

For Google Chrome

  1. Access "DocuWorks Viewer Light" in Chrome web store.
  2. Install the extension.
This will allow you to uninstall the extension by using the installer.

For Microsoft Edge

  1. Access "DocuWorks Viewer Light" in Microsoft Store.
  2. Install the extension.
This will allow you to uninstall the extension by using the installer.
  • If you install the extension directly from Chrome Web Store or Microsoft Store instead of using the installer, an error will occur when you attempt to open a DocuWorks document. In this case, install DocuWorks or DocuWorks Viewer Light using the installer. If you do not need to display DocuWorks documents in your web browser, execute [Remove] on the web browser's extension screen.
  • When [Safe Browsing] is set to [Enhanced protection] in Google Chrome, a warning "This extension is not trusted by Enhanced Safe Browsing" may appear on the Extensions setting screen. Even if you see this warning, you can simply ignore it because there is no operational problem.
  • If you want to open local files with extensions, you need to allow [Allow access to file URLs] on the extension screen.
