[Password] dialog box (Open Password)
Use this dialog box to enter a password to display a thumbnail or open protected documents.
In Desk, the dialog box appears when you select a protected document, then select [Display Thumbnail] from [Security] in the [Document] menu.
The dialog box appears when you open a password-protected document in Viewer, Viewer Light, or Viewer control.

[Open password]
Enter the open password that is set to the document.
[Store this password temporarily]
Specifies whether to save the password temporarily, or not to save. By default, this check box is selected. The previous setting is maintained for this setting.
When this check box is selected, and when the entered password is correct, it will be stored in DWSPswd. For the documents protected by the same password to open, you will not be prompted to enter a password to perform the following operations.

- Open
- Display a thumbnail
- Insert as an OLE DocuWorks object
- Select the [Open], [Edit], or [Full Screen Display] menu for OLE DocuWorks document object
[Comment]
Displays the comments which were entered during setting of the security.
[OK]
Enter a correct password and click [OK] to open the document. If you enter a wrong password, an error message appears and the [Password] dialog box is displayed again.
In Viewer, when you open a document, the dialog box showing the operations prohibited in the document is displayed. Whether this dialog box is displayed or not can be specified in [View] under [DocuWorks Viewer Options] in the [Preferences] dialog box shown when you selected [DocuWorks Settings] from the [File] menu in Viewer.
