[Image Page] tab [Process Pages] dialog box

Use this tab to specify the settings for image page processing.

[Reduce the resolution of image page]

Changes the resolution for image pages to the specified value.
By default, this box is cleared. If you select this check box, you can specify [Maximum Resolution].

[Maximum Resolution]

Specify the upper limit of the resolution. You can enter an integer between 75 and 600 dpi.
The default is [400].

[Correct skew of images automatically]

Detects skewing of the page and corrects it.
By default, this box is cleared.

[Perform deskew even when the accuracy of detecting skew is low]

This check box becomes effective when you select [Correct skew of images automatically]. By default, this box is cleared.
The inclination is measured before deskewing. Deskewing may not be performed when the accuracy of detecting skew is low. Select [Perform deskew even when the accuracy of detecting skew is low] to deskew even if the accuracy of detecting skew is low.

[Compress the color image pages further]

Specifies the image quality and compression rate for conversion of color image to image pages.
By default, this box is cleared. If you select this box, you can specify [Image quality and compression rate].

The default is [Priority on image quality].

[Enhance the quality of image page of the color document]

Applies the appropriate quality correction processes such as clearing background suppression, enhancing sharpness, or correcting contrast, to the image page of the color document.
By default, this box is cleared. If you select this box, you can specify [Level].

[Level]

Specify the level for correcting quality of the image page of the color document.
The default is [Low].

[Convert the color image pages that are near grayscale]

Determines whether the image in the color image page is a color image or a grayscale image. If it is determined to be a grayscale image, it is converted to grayscale.
By default, this box is cleared. If you select this box, you can specify the level. The default is [Normal].

[Reduce noise from monochrome image]

Removes the noise from monochrome image pages.
By default, this box is cleared. If you select this box, you can specify [Level].

[Level]

Specify the level of noise reduction for monochrome images.
The default is [Low].
