Using the Extended Folder (Local)
If you want to operate documents in the Working Folder as if they were documents in a user folder, check out the documents so that they are downloaded to the extended folder (local) in Desk.
You can also check out documents other than DocuWorks files (extensions xdw, xbd, or xct) to the extended folder (local).

Note
- The extended folder (local) is displayed when you operate [Check Out to Extended Folder (Local)].
- Documents in the secure drawer and encryption drawer cannot be checked out.

Checking Out a Document to the Extended Folder (Local)
Steps
1.
In the workspace area, display the content in the drawer or folder.
2.
Right-click the desired document and select [Check Out to Extended Folder (Local)] from the pop-up menu.
The document is locked on Working Folder and downloaded to each extended folder under the extended folder (local).
Note
Up to 20 documents can be checked out at the same time to the extended folder (local).
Checking In a Document from the Extended Folder (Local)
Steps
1.
Right-click the document in the extended folder (local) and select [Check In] from the pop-up menu.
The [Check In] dialog box is displayed.
2.
Click [OK].
The edited document is uploaded as a new version, and the file is unlocked on Working Folder.
Note
When the document to be checked in cannot be found, the [Select Document in Check-in Destination] dialog box is displayed. Select the check-in destination from the list and click [OK].
