[Type]

Select [Text] to insert a text watermark, or select [Image] to insert an image watermark.
Select [Do Not Embed] for no watermark.
Note
  • A watermark will be placed on every page.
  • If you select the [ForeGround] option button in the [Order] area, the watermark image is placed in the front of the image.
    Select the [Transparent] check box in the [Transparency] area, and then you can adjust the opacity level of the watermark.
    A watermark set with 100% opacity is not transparent, and a watermark set with 0% opacity is transparent.
  • A watermark will be placed on every page.
    When inserting a watermark, take into account the color of the character strings, etc. set in the original document.
    For example, on documents where the characters were made using black ink, if you insert text with dark colors such as black as a watermark, it may become impossible to read the character strings in the original document.

[Text Settings] group

You can enter text to be inserted as a watermark, and specify font, size, etc. Select [Text] in [Type], beforehand.

[Text]

Enter text to be inserted as a watermark.

[Font]

Select the font for the text.

[Size]

Select a size for the font.

[Color]

Clicking here will display the [Color] dialog box where you can select the color for the string or create a custom color.

[Style]

Select the font style from [Standard], [Bold], [Italic], and [Italic Bold].

[Rotation]

This specifies the right or left rotation of the text. A negative value result in a clockwise rotation and a positive value results in a counter-clockwise rotation.

[Image Settings] group

You can select the image to be inserted as a watermark, and specify details such as rotation. Select [Image] in [Type], beforehand.

File Name

The file name and path for the image can be entered directly into the box, or click [Browse] to locate the file.

[Rotation]

This specifies the rotation of the image in the clockwise or counter-clockwise direction. A negative value results in a clockwise rotation and a positive value results in a counter-clockwise rotation.

[Maintain Aspect Ratio]

Check this box to maintain the width and height aspect ratio, when the image size is changed.
This will ensure no distortion of the image, even when the size is changed.

[Fit to Page Size]

Select this to expand the image to fill the entire page. When the [Fit to Page Size] check box is selected, the position and size of the image cannot be specified.

[Layout Settings]

Click here to display the [Watermark Layout] dialog box. You can configure the location or size of the inserted text or image.
