[DocuWorks Desk Options] - [Save Scanned Document] [Preferences] dialog box

Use this tab to specify the document name and the location to save the scanned document.
You can confirm the specified document name in the text box at the bottom of this tab.

[Save to]

Specify a folder for saving a scanned document. You can select the user folder or a folder below the user folder. You cannot select the other locations. Also you cannot save documents to a read-only folder. In such a case, you can save them to the current folder or the user folder.
The default is [Current Folder].
  • [Current Folder]
    Saves scanned documents to the workspace in the opened Desk.
  • [Specify a folder to save to]
    Select the user folder or a folder located under the user folder directory.

[Browse]

Displays the [Browse for Folder] dialog box. Select the user folder or a folder below the user folder and click [OK].
The default is [User Folder].

[Name of scanned document]

[Document name given during scanning will be used as the scanned document name]

If you select this check box and scan documents with the FUJIFILM Business Innovation or Fuji Xerox scanner capable of naming documents, the name will be that of the saved document.
By default, this box is cleared. But even if the check box is selected, this checkmark will be ineffective, when the document name is not specified or this function is not available on the scanner side.

[Specify scanned document name]

Specifies a name for a scanned document.
By default, this button is selected.

[Title]

Enter a name for a scanned document.
The default is [scan].

[Add date to name]

Adds a date to a document name.
  • [Add to front]
    Adds the date at the top of the document name.
  • [Add to back]
    Adds the date at the end of the document name.
  • [Date format]
    Select the date format.
    The default is dd/mm/yy.

[Determine document name from OCR result]

Select this button if you want to perform OCR processing on the first page of the scanned document and determine the document name from the OCR result.
The document name will be the first 100 characters at the maximum which appears before the new line starts. Characters that cannot be used in Desk will be replaced with "~".
By default, this button is not selected.
In the following cases, the document name will be the one specified in [Title] of [Specify scanned document name].
  • When an error occurs during the character recognition.
  • When the number of recognized characters is less than 3.
  • When the full path for the scanned document exceeds 256 characters.
