Customizing the Toolbar
You can create a new toolbar in Desk, add new buttons to a toolbar, remove the current buttons, or change the order of the toolbar buttons.
This section explains the following items.
Creating a new toolbar
Procedure
1.
Select [Tool Settings] from the [Tool] menu.
The [Toolbar Options] dialog box appears.
2.
Click [Create New Toolbar] in the [Toolbar Options] dialog box.
Alternatively, select the [Tool] menu, then select [Create New Toolbar] from [Toolbars].

The [Create New Toolbar] dialog box appears.
3.
Enter a name for the toolbar in [Toolbar name] and click [OK].
This creates a new toolbar with no buttons allocated.
4.
On the [Commands] tab in the [Toolbar Options] dialog box, select a category for the command from [Categories].
The commands that belong to the selected category are listed in [Commands].
5.
Drag-and-drop a button from [Command] to the toolbar.
Repeat this step until you have all desired buttons on the toolbar.

6.
Click [Close] in the [Toolbar Options] dialog box.

Up to 20 toolbars can be set.

Displaying or hiding a toolbar
Procedure
1.
Select [Toolbars] from the [View] menu.
2.
Select the check box for the toolbar name in the submenu to display the toolbar.
Clear the check box for the toolbar name to hide the toolbar.

Adding a button to a toolbar
Procedure
1.
Select [Tool Settings] from the [Tool] menu.
The [Toolbar Options] dialog box appears, where you can change the settings for Toolbar and Task Toolbar.
2.
On the [Commands] tab in the [Toolbar Options] dialog box, select a category for the command from [Categories].
The commands that belong to the selected category are listed in [Commands].
3.
Drag-and-drop a button from [Command] to the toolbar.
Up to 30 buttons can be allocated to a toolbar.
4.
Click [Close] in the [Toolbar Options] dialog box.
Removing a button from a toolbar
Procedure
1.
Right-click a button on the toolbar, then select [Delete] from the shortcut menu.
2.
Click [Yes] in the dialog box confirming deletion.
Changing the order of the toolbar buttons
Procedure
1.
Drag and drop the button within the toolbar while holding down the <Alt> key.
Exporting a toolbar
You can export a toolbar to a file.
Note
The [Find] toolbar cannot be exported.
Procedure
1.
Right-click on a toolbar you want to export, then select [Export Toolbar] from the shortcut menu.
The [Save As] dialog box appears.
Note
The [Export DocuWorks Settings] dialog box remains displayed behind the [Save As] dialog box, with the check box for the name of the toolbar to be exported being selected.
2.
Specify the file name and the folder to save the file, then click [Save].
The toolbar is exported to the file.
