Importing/Exporting a File in a DocuWorks Container
Procedure
1.
Double-click a DocuWorks container.
The DocuWorks container is opened by Viewer. There are two views:
- Content list view
The files stored in the DocuWorks container are displayed in list view. - Document view
You can view the front side of the DocuWorks container or edit annotations.

Drag and drop the target file from the Workspace or Explorer to the content list view of the Viewer window. The file is copied to the DocuWorks container.
3.
Select [Save] from the [File] menu.
Exporting a File from a DocuWorks Container
Procedure
1.
Double-click a DocuWorks container.
The DocuWorks container is opened by Viewer.
2.
Drag the target file from the content list view of the Viewer window, then drop it in the Workspace or Explorer.
The file is copied from the selected DocuWorks container.
If you drag and drop a file to the content list view of another DocuWorks container, the file is moved to the DocuWorks container.
If you drag and drop a file to the content list view of another DocuWorks container, the file is moved to the DocuWorks container.
Note
- A file name in Unicode will be converted to the equivalent file name in multi-byte code at export. Each of the Unicode characters which cannot be converted to the multi-byte code is replaced with "_".
- When you use a long file name, the length of the file path may exceed the limit depending on the location of the export destination or working folder, and this causes an error or the file name to be truncated. In this case, shorten the file name and try to export again.
