Displaying the Binder Index
You can display the binder index to view or manipulate the documents contained in the binder. The binder index is displayed in the InfoView.
Displaying the binder index
Procedure
1.
Click the [Binder Index] tab of the InfoView.
If the InfoView is not displayed, select [InfoView] from the [View] menu. Or, you can select [Display Tabs in InfoView] from the [View] menu, then select [Binder Index Tab].
If the InfoView is not displayed, select [InfoView] from the [View] menu. Or, you can select [Display Tabs in InfoView] from the [View] menu, then select [Binder Index Tab].
Binder index is displayed in the InfoView.
Items shown in the binder index
The following table describes the items displayed in the [Binder Index] tab.
Item | Description |

[Document Name] |
Displays the name of a document in the binder. |
[Number of Pages] |
Displays the number of pages of a document in the binder. |
[Number of original data] |
Displays the number of original data contained in a document in the binder. |
[Save in Unicode format] |
Whether the check box is selected or not represents character codes of the document names in the binder.
When the check box is selected: All of the document names consist of Unicode characters. When the check box is dimmed: The document names contain a mixture of Unicode characters and multi-byte code characters. When the check box is unselected: All of the document names consist of multi-byte code characters. |
[Total Pages] |
Displays the total number of pages in a document in the binder. |
[Number of documents in Binder] |
Displays the number of documents in the binder. |
You can sort the documents in a binder by clicking the header of the [Document Name], [Number of Pages], or [Number of original data].
[Binder Menu]
Displays the menu command to manipulate documents in the binder.
Note
The same items of the binder menu are displayed by right-clicking the list.
[Show]
Displays the first page of the selected document.
[Move Up]
Moves the selected document one place up.
[Move Down]
Moves the selected document one place down.
[Sort by]
You can sort the documents in a binder by clicking from submenu.
[Rename]
Renames the selected document. This command is disabled for binders if their editing is prohibited. You can use the same name for multiple documents within a binder.
A document name cannot exceed 255 alphanumeric characters.

Note
A document name cannot contain the following characters: \ / : * ? " < > |. You cannot start a document name with a space.
[Export Document]
Displays the [Export Document] dialog box, when a document is selected. This command is disabled for binders if their copying is prohibited.
[Import Document]
Select this command to display the [Import Document] dialog box.
This command is disabled for protected documents or signed documents.
This command is disabled for protected documents or signed documents.
[Insert New]
Insert a blank document with the name "New document in Binder" before the selected document in the list.
[Cut]
Use this command to cut the selected document to the clipboard. This command is disabled for binders if their editing or copying is prohibited.
[Copy]
Cuts the selected document to the clipboard. This command is disabled for binders if their copying is prohibited.
[Paste]
Pastes the document in the clipboard to the binder. This command is disabled for binders if their editing is prohibited.
[Delete]
Deletes the selected document. This command is disabled for binders if their editing is prohibited.
[Select All]
Use this command to select all documents in the binder.
