Activating license(DocuWorks Tray)

This section describes the following operations.

Activating via the License Activation Screen

You can use the license activation screen to enter the serial number, which is printed on the license certificate enclosed in the product package, to activate your license.
Procedure
1.
Log on as a user who belongs to the Administrators group.
2.
Open the [License Management] screen.
Note
If the [User Account Control] dialog box appears, click [Yes].
  • When your trial period is expired:
    If you try to execute DocuWorks Tray, a dialog box appears prompting you to activate your DocuWorks Tray. Click [Activate License] button in this dialog box.
  • When your trial period is not expired:
    Launch DocuWorks Tray, right-click the tray management icon on the task tray, and then select [License Management] > [Activate License] in the popup menu.
3.
Enter the serial number printed on the license certificate, which is enclosed in the product package, and click [Next].
Note
If you have already entered the serial number during installation, this screen does not appear.
4.
Enter the [User ID(email address)] and [Password] registered with FUJIFILM BI Direct, then click [OK].
  • If you have not yet registered with FUJIFILM BI Direct, click [New Registration] to perform registration first.
  • When you select the [E-mail delivery is required for information related to this product], you will be able to receive delivery of information on the product via e-mail.
Note
If you type an incorrect user ID or password five times, your password is locked. In case you forgot password, access the following URL via a web browser and reset the password.

Activating via the License Management Screen

Start the License Management Screen and activate the license by entering the serial number.
Generally, activation is performed online. If your network environment does not allow the License Management Screen to communicate with the license authentication server, you can select the method for activating via e-mail.
Procedure
1.
Log on as a user who belongs to the Administrators group.
2.
Select [Start] > [FUJIFILM DocuWorks] > [DocuWorks Tray] > [License Management Screen (DocuWorks Tray)].
Note
If the [User Account Control] dialog box appears, click [Yes].
  • When your trial period is expired:
    If you try to execute DocuWorks Tray, a dialog box appears prompting you to activate your DocuWorks Tray. Click [License Management Screen] button in this dialog box.
  • When your trial period is not expired:
    Launch DocuWorks Tray, right-click the tray management icon on the task tray, and then select [License Management] > [License Management Screen] in the popup menu.
When you display the License Management Screen for the first time, the [License Agreement] dialog box appears.
3.
Verify the information displayed in the [License Agreement] dialog box, and click [accept].
4.
Select [Enter Serial Number], and click [Next].
5.
Select [Serial Number (Text Entry)], enter the serial number printed on the license certificate, which is enclosed in the product package, and then click [Add]. After the added serial number has been displayed in the list, click [Next].
6.
Make sure you have finished entering the serial number, and click [Next].
7.
Select one of the activation methods and click [Next].
  • [Activate license online.]
    In this method, the License Management Screen communicates with the license authentication server via the Internet to perform license activation. This method is used in most cases.
    If you select this option, go to "Activating via the Internet".
  • [Activate license via e-mail.]
    If your network environment does not allow the License Management Screen to communicate with the license authentication server, select this option. In this method, the serial number and information such as your e-mail address are encrypted before they are sent to FUJIFILM Business Innovation via e-mail. By reading the file attached to the return e-mail into the License Management Screen, your license is authenticated.
    If you select this option, go to"Activating Your License with File".
  • [Activate later.]
    If you decide to perform activation later, you can use this option.
    Select [Activate later.] and click [Finish] on the subsequent screen to close the License Management Screen with license activation canceled this time.

Activating via the Internet

If your PC is connected to internet, and is able to communicate with the license activation server using the https protocol (SSL), you can activate your license via internet.
Procedure
1.
On the License Activator (License Management Screen), select [DocuWorks Tray], and click [Next].
2.
Enter the [User ID] and [Password] registered with FUJIFILM BI Direct, then click [Next].
Note
  • If you have not yet completed user registration with FUJIFILM BI Direct, click [Click here for new registration] to proceed with user registration.
  • When you select the [E-mail delivery is required for information related to this product], you will be able to receive delivery of information on the product via e-mail.
3.
Click [Finish].

Activating Your License with File

Upload your license activation information file exported from the License Management screen to FUJIFILM BI Direct.
Procedure
1.
Log on as a user who belongs to the Administrators group.
2.
Select [Start] > [FUJIFILM DocuWorks] > [DocuWorks Tray] > [License Management Screen (DocuWorks Tray)].
Note
If the [User Account Control] dialog box appears, click [Yes].
  • When your trial period is expired:
    If you try to execute DocuWorks Tray, a dialog box appears prompting you to activate your DocuWorks Tray. Click [License Management Screen] button in this dialog box.
  • When your trial period is not expired:
    Launch DocuWorks Tray, right-click the tray management icon on the task tray, and then select [License Management] > [License Management Screen] in the popup menu.
When you display the License Management Screen for the first time, the [License Agreement] dialog box appears.
3.
On the License Activator (License Management Screen), select [DocuWorks Tray], and click [Next].
4.
Enter the [User ID] and [Password] registered with FUJIFILM BI Direct, then click [Next].
Note
When you select the [E-mail delivery is required for information related to this product] check box, you will be able to receive delivery of information via e-mail.
5.
Click [Browse], specify the Output Destination and file name for the license activation info file, and then click [Next].
The license activation info file is output to the specified destination with the specified file name.
Note
The default Output Destination is the desktop. The default file name is "activationinfor.dat".
6.
Use your web browser to visit the URL for the page to activate an uploaded file, located in "FUJIFILM BI Direct" at:
https://direct-fb.fujifilm.com/ap2/license/bulk_activation/upload?proc=activation
A screen to log in to "FUJIFILM BI Direct" appears.
7.
Fill in [User ID(E-mail Address)] and [Password], and click the [Login] button.
8.
Check that the [Activate] tab is selected, and click the [Browse] button.
9.
Select the license file you saved, and click [Open].
The license file can also be uploaded by dragging and dropping it directly onto the web browser.
10.
Check that the file name is displayed in the File field, and click the [Send] button.
A message appears telling you that the request has been received, and you will receive an e-mail notifying you of the completion of the license activation process.
11.
Click the URL for the [Processing Result List] screen described in the e-mail.
The [Processing Result List] screen of FUJIFILM BI Direct is displayed.
12.
Make sure that the [Result] column corresponding to your license process is denoted as [OK], and click [Download].
Your license file is downloaded.
13.
Restarts License Activator.
14.
Select [Activate License via E-mail (Step 2)] and click [Next].
15.
Click [Browse] to specify the license file downloaded from FUJIFILM BI Direct, and then click [Next].
Your license is authenticated.
