About the Process Pages Plug-in
You can use the process pages plug-in to process pages of DocuWorks files to create new documents and binders.
What you can do using the process pages plug-in
For each page, the process pages plug-in can:
- Further compress color images.
- Lower the resolution of images.
- Add or delete thumbnail view information.
- Delete all annotations.
- Delete all original data.
- Delete unnecessary internal data (optimization).
For image pages, the process pages plug-in can:
- Generate a grayscale image from a color image that resembles grayscale.
- Deskew a page.
- Correct an image quality.
- Reduce noises from monochrome images.
- Change compression method of color image pages.
For an application page, the process pages plug-in can:
- Convert to image files.
Note
- You can reduce a file size by deleting thumbnail view information. This is useful when you want to reduce the size of a file as much as possible to send it via e-mail or post it on a web page. When you process the file in Desk, add the thumbnail information back, otherwise the processing speed slows down. Deleted thumbnail information is automatically restored when DocuWorks files are displayed and saved in thumbnail view in Desk or in page sorter view in Viewer.
- When you do not specify any information, a document or a binder without unnecessary data is created. However, the size of a signature document is not reduced.
- When converting to image pages, you can use the body text before conversion as a processed OCR text. At this time, if the body text before conversion contain Unicode characters, the document after conversion becomes the Ver.7 document.
- You can also use Viewer to reduce noises and deskew pages.
