About the Edge Erase Plug-in

When you scan pages of a thick book, black outlines may appear around the edges or down the center of pages. You can use the edge erase plug-in to delete these unnecessary black areas. You can specify and verify how much has been erased for each page.
Edge Erase can only be applied to image documents in monochrome. It does not support documents in grayscale.

When you run the plug-in, the page size and [Resolution] are displayed at the bottom of the [Edge Erase] dialog box. If the page is not the one supported by the plug-in, a message "Edge Erase cannot be performed on this page." appears. You can check whether the page is in monochrome or not in InfoView of Desk or Viewer.
