Printing

Q.1
Is it possible to print all pages in documents having differing page sizes to the same size of paper?
A.1
Yes. To do so, select [Fit to paper size] in the dialog box that appears when printing a DocuWorks document. The sizes that a printer can output depend on the functions of the printer and driver.

Q.2
What will happen to the direction of the paper if printing A4 size documents that include both portrait and landscape orientations?
A.2
With paper of the same size, the pages will be rotated and all will be printed in the same orientation.

Q.3
Is it possible to change the print order when printing multiple DocuWorks documents from Desk? Also, is double-side printing possible?
A.3
Add [Easy Printer] to the toolbar or task toolbar beforehand. After you have specified the settings, select multiple DocuWorks documents in Desk and click [Easy Printer]. This will enable those selected documents to be handled as one document so you can change their order and print double-side in bulk. There is no need to stack the DocuWorks documents because they are printed in bulk.

Q.4
On some specific PCs, DocuWorks documents are printed in black entirely, in blank, or in deformed images. Why does it happen? And how can I solve the problem?
A.4
When you print an image file such as a DocuWorks document created from scanned data, part of the image producing mechanism for the display on your PC is used. For this reason, some abnormal printout may result depending on the display driver used on your PC. It is advised that you consult the display driver supplier, and update to the latest driver. If you are using a driver which supports hardware accelerators, lowering the accelerator level setting of the [View Settings] settings in Windows's [Control Panel] may solve the problem.

Q.5
I scanned a received fax document and converted it to a DocuWorks document. When I print this, the marginal portion of each page including the header is not output. This cannot be solved even if I use reduced printing capability of the printer. Is there any way to work around this?
A.5
Select [Resize document to fit print area] in the [Print] dialog box of Desk or Viewer. The image will be automatically reduced so that its entire image including the marginal portion can be output within the printable area of the destination printer.

Q.6
How do I print only the annotations?
A.6
Refer to "Adding Plug-in or Changing Setting" to add [Copy Annotations] to the toolbar or task toolbar.
Select a document file in Desk, then click [Copy Annotations]. Only the annotations are output to another document. Print this document.

Q.7
How do I print without the annotations?
A.7
Select [Show Annotations] from the [Document] menu in Viewer to hide the annotations. Print the document while the annotations are hidden.

Q.8
Can I create multiple DocuWorks Printer icons and manage them with different properties?
A.8
You cannot create multiple DocuWorks Printer icons. Alternatively you can register multiple print setups using the easy printer plug-in. Select a document and then click the plug-in button of the easy printer to print the document with the settings specified.
