[Search] Dialog Box
[Search Condition]
The search string and date are searched with AND condition.
[Name]
Set this when you wish to search for documents by name.
Search string
Enter a search string of up to 50 characters.
If the search string includes a space, AND condition is used.
For example, when you enter "abc xyz", documents that include "abc" and "xyz" are searched.
If there is a space in the beginning or the end of the search string, the space is ignored.
Search strings are used under the following conditions.

- Alphabets are not case-sensitive.
- Single-byte characters and double-byte characters are considered differently.

[Created By]
Set this when you wish to search for documents by "Created By".
If you are a restricted user, you can search only documents you created.
"Created By" means the name of the user who uploaded the document.
This is displayed in the dialog box of the property.

Search string
This is the same as [Name].
[Modified By]
Set this when you wish to search for documents by "Modified By".
If you are a restricted user, you can search only documents you modified.
"Modified By" means the name of the user who overwrote the document.
This is displayed in the dialog box of the property.

Note
If a document is uploaded and it is not overwritten, "Created By" and "Modified By" are the same.
Search string
This is the same as [Name].
[Locked By]
Set this when you wish to search for documents by "Locked By".
"Locked By" means the name of the user who locked the document.
This is displayed in the dialog box of the property.

[Date Created]
Set this when you wish to search for documents by "Date Created".
- If you set a start date and an end date, the search scope is between them.
- If you set a start date only, the search scope is after the start date.
- If you set an end date only, the search scope is before the end date.
Start date
When you set this, select the check box and then select a date.
End date
When you set this, select the check box and then select a date.
[Date Modified]
Set this when you wish to search for documents by "Date Modified".
- If you set a start date and an end date, the search scope is between them.
- If you set a start date only, the search scope is after the start date.
- If you set an end date only, the search scope is before the end date.
Note
If a document is uploaded and it is not overwritten, "Date Created" and "Date Modified" are the same.
Start date
When you set this, select the check box and then select a date.
End date
When you set this, select the check box and then select a date.
[Search Location]
If you select a cabinet when you open this dialog box, [Whole Cabinet] is selected. If you select a drawer when you open this dialog box, [Under {Drawer Name}] is selected.
[Search Result]
When you click [Search], documents that match the search conditions are listed.
The search result can be sorted when you click a title of the items. Each time you click it, the sort order changes between ascending and descending.

Pop-up menu
When you right-click the search result, the following pop-up menu is displayed.
[Open]
The document is downloaded to the local disk as a temporary file and opened with the application related to the file extension. This menu is enabled when one document is selected.
Note
You cannot open documents in Secure Drawer or documents in folders not permitted.
[Check Out and Open]
The selected document is locked and then downloaded.
Note
Documents in a Secure Drawer or Encryption Drawer cannot be checked out.
[Check Out to Extended Folder (Local)]
Locks the selected document and downloads to the extended folder (local).

Documents in a Secure Drawer or Encryption Drawer cannot be checked out.
[Unlock]
Unlocks the locked document.
[Copy]
The selected document is copied.
You can paste the copied document into the user folder and link folder in DocuWorks Desk.

[Download]
Downloads the selected document.
[Copy URL]
The URL of the selected document is copied to the Clipboard. This menu is enabled when one document is selected.
[Share Document]
Publishes the selected document. This menu is enabled when a single document is selected.
[Properties]
The [Property] dialog box of the selected document is displayed. This menu is enabled when one document is selected.
[Search]
Documents that satisfy any of the search string conditions are searched.
