Activating Your License

You may need to activate your license to use DocuWorks relevant software applications.
In this case, if you do not activate your license, the software application is installed as trial edition, and it will no longer be available once the expiration period of 60 days elapses.
There are the following ways to activate your license:

Starting and Exiting License Activator

Procedure
1.
Sign in to the PC on which to activate your license as a user with administrator privileges.
2.
From [Start] > [FUJIFILM DocuWorks], select the License Management screen.
  • For DocuWorks
    From [Start] > [FUJIFILM DocuWorks], select the License Management screen.
  • For the Document Property Entry plug-in
    From [Start] > [FUJIFILM DocuWorks Document Property Entry], select the License Management screen.
If the [User Account Control] screen appears, click [Yes].
Note
To exit License Activator, click [Exit].

Activating Your License via Internet

If your PC is connected to internet, and is able to communicate with the license activation server using the https protocol (SSL), you can activate your license via internet.
Procedure
1.
Starts License Activator.
2.
Click [Register License].
3.
Enter the serial number and click [Next].
  • To enter the serial number manually
    Select [Serial Number (Enter Text)] and enter the serial number.
    Click [Add] to add the serial number to the list.
    More than one serial number can be entered.
  • To enter the serial number from a file
    Prepare a file containing serial numbers.
    Enter serial numbers, one number per row, by separating each group of four digits by a hyphen (-).
    Example:
    1111-2222-3333-4444-5555-6666
    2222-3333-4444-5555-6666-7777
    Select [Serial Number (Import File)], and click [Browse] to select the file where you saved the serial numbers.
4.
Select [Use the Internet to Activate License (Recommended)] and click [Next].
5.
Enter your credential for FUJIFILM BI Direct, and click [Next].
The license activation process is performed.
Note
When you select the [E-mail delivery is required for information related to this product] check box, you will be able to receive delivery of information via e-mail.
6.
When the license activation is done, click [Completed].
7.
Check that the license status is [Activated], and click [Exit].

Activating Your License Using the License File

Upload your license activation information file exported from License Activator to FUJIFILM BI Direct.
Procedure
1.
Follow Steps 1 to 3 in "Activating Your License via Internet" to enter the serial number.
2.
Select [Use File to Activate License] and click [Next].
3.
Enter your credential for FUJIFILM BI Direct, and click [Next].
Note
When you select the [E-mail delivery is required for information related to this product] check box, you will be able to receive delivery of information via e-mail.
4.
Click [Browse], and specify the output location and file name of the license activation information file to save it.
Note
By default, the output location is your desktop, and the file name is "activationinfor.dat".
5.
With your web browser, access the FUJIFILM BI Direct page for uploading a file to activate your license:
https://direct-fb.fujifilm.com/ap2/license/bulk_activation/upload?proc=activation
The screen to log in "FUJIFILM BI Direct" appears.
6.
Enter your credential for FUJIFILM BI Direct to log in.
The page for uploading your file is displayed.
7.
Make sure that the [Activate] tab is selected, and click [Browse].
8.
Select the license file you saved, and click [Open].
The license file can also be uploaded by dragging and dropping it directly onto the web browser.
9.
Make sure that the file you selected is displayed, and click [Send].
A message appears telling you that the request has been received, and you will receive an e-mail notifying you of the completion of the license activation process.
10.
Click the URL for the [Processing Result List] screen described in the e-mail.
The [Processing Result List] screen of FUJIFILM BI Direct is displayed.
11.
Make sure that the [Result] column corresponding to your license process is denoted as [OK], and click [Download].
The license file is downloaded.
12.
Restarts License Activator.
13.
Click [Advanced Features].
14.
Select [Import License Activation File] and click [Next].
15.
Click [Browse] to specify the license file you downloaded, and click [Next].
Your license is activated.
