DocuWorks Personal Settings

This dialog box appears when you specify personal settings.

[DocuWorks Personal Settings] dialog box

An outline of personal settings is displayed.
If Personal Settings has not been set up after the installation of DocuWorks, click [Next] and the [Select install method] dialog box appears.
If Personal Settings has been already set up with DocuWorks installed, select [Change setting] or [Restore setting], and then click [Next]. If you select the [Change setting], [Desk Folder Setting] dialog box appears. If you select the [Restore setting], [Select install method] dialog box appears.
When DocuWorks has been uninstalled, the screen enabling you to clear personal settings appears. Click [Next] to clear the personal settings.

[Select install method] dialog box

Use this dialog box to select the method to specify the personal settings. You can specify the following items and contents:

[Standard settings]

Specifies the personal settings for standard settings.

[Customize settings]

Specify the individual items of personal settings by yourself.
Setup items [Standard settings] [Customize settings]
Location of Desk folder
{Application Data folder for each user}\FUJIFILM\DocuWorks\DWFolders
Click [Browse] to specify a specific location or enter the name in full path.
Location of temporary file folder
{Application Data folder for each user}\FUJIFILM\DocuWorks\DWTemp
Click [Browse] to specify a specific location or enter the name in full path.
Desk setting information
Use the setting information on toolbars continuously. If any setting has not been made yet, a new setting is made.
Specify whether to use it continuously.
Annotation setting information
If an annotation file exists in the <Desk folder>\Annotations, you can use it continuously. If any annotation file does not exist, a new annotation file is created.
If template / drawing tools exists in the <Desk folder>\pencase and in the <Desk folder>\template, you can specify to convert them into annotation files. If they do not exist, nothing happens.
Specify whether to use it continuously.
Setting of the Microsoft Office extension function
Adding the button in the installed Microsoft Office application's toolbar to convert a document into DocuWorks format.
Specify the application where the button is added to convert a document into DocuWorks format.
Create a shortcut.
Create shortcut to DocuWorks Printer to [Send To] menu of Windows.
Create shortcut to DocuWorks Desk to quick start toolbar of Windows.
Specify shortcut to create.
Settings of operation log
Create the [Log] folder automatically under the Desk folder and log DocuWorks operations.
Specify whether to log DocuWorks operations.
Link with Cloud Service
Do not link with a cloud service.
Link with a cloud service.

[Desk Folder Setting] dialog box

Use this dialog box to specify a location to create the Desk folder.
The Desk folder is one of the folders that are created when DocuWorks is installed. The folder stores the user folder and recycled bin that are used in Desk, and the annotations used in Viewer.

[Current settings]

The current Desk folder location is indicated in full path.

[New setup value]

Specify the newly created Desk folder location in full path. Or, you can also click [Browse] to display a dialog box for folder selection.
Note
  • You can specify the file in which files and sub folders are stored already as the Desk folder.
  • The Desk folder cannot be created in immediately under drives such as "C:\" drive, and in the removable medium such as CD-R/W and memory card.
  • When specifying the network folder, multiple users cannot share the one folder.

[Temporary File Folder Setting] dialog box

Use this dialog box to specify a location to create a temporary file folder.
The temporary folder is one of the folders that are created when DocuWorks is installed. The temporary folder is a folder that DocuWorks program uses temporarily while running DocuWorks.

[Current settings]

The current location of the temporary file folder is indicated in full path.

[New setup value]

Specify the location of newly created temporary folder location in full path. Or, you can also click [Browse] to display a dialog box for folder selection.
Note
  • You can specify the file in which files and sub folders are stored already as the temporary file.
  • The temporary file folder cannot be created in immediately under drives such as "C:\" drive, and in the removable medium such as CD-R/W and memory card.
  • When specifying the network folder, multiple users cannot share the one folder.

[Inherit the Desk setting information] dialog box

Use this dialog box to specify whether to inherit the toolbar setting information of Desk that has been used in the past.
For users who have not installed DocuWorks before, this dialog box is not displayed.

[Continue to use]

Uses continuously the toolbar setting information of Desk that has been used in the past. If you clear this box, the toolbar settings are overwritten by standard toolbar settings.
Note
If you select the [Continue to use] check box, also set whether to add new tabs from DocuWorks 9 to your Task Toolbar.

[Inherit the Annotation setting information] dialog box

Use this dialog box to specify whether to inherit the annotation tool file of Viewer that has been used in the past, or whether to inherit to use the template / drawing tools.
For users who have not installed DocuWorks before, this dialog box is not displayed.

[Continue to use]

Uses continuously the annotation tool file of Viewer that has been used in the past, or use continuously the template / drawing tools. If you clear this box, this command is overwritten by the standard annotation tool settings.
Note
The annotation tools that have been registered in the [Annotation Toolbar Options] window with DocuWorks Ver.3.x are called template / drawing tools.

[DocuWorks Creator for Microsoft Office Settings] dialog box

Select the application with using the DocuWorks Creator for Microsoft Office activated the menu for converting the document into DocuWorks format is added to the Office applications.
By default, this box is selected.

[Microsoft Word]

Activate DocuWorks Creator for Microsoft Office at starting up Microsoft Word.

[Microsoft Excel]

Activate DocuWorks Creator for Microsoft Office at starting up Microsoft Excel.

[Microsoft PowerPoint]

Activate DocuWorks Creator for Microsoft Office at starting up Microsoft PowerPoint.
Note
This dialog box is displayed regardless of the installation of Microsoft Office or its version.

[Create Shortcut] dialog box

Select whether to create shortcut to DocuWorks Printer and shortcut to DocuWorks Desk.
By default, both boxes are selected.

[[Send To] menu]

Creates shortcut to DocuWorks Printer to [Send To] menu of Windows.

[Quick Launch toolbar]

Creates shortcut to DocuWorks Desk to quick start toolbar of Windows.

[Operation Log Setting] dialog box

Set whether to log DocuWorks operations.

[Record Application Operation Log]

Creates the [Log] folder automatically under the Desk folder and logs DocuWorks operations.

[Allow auto sending of application operation log]

Select this option to automatically send operation logs to FUJIFILM Business Innovation when DocuWorks is launched.
This feature can be used with DocuWorks Subscription or DocuWorks Subscription Suite.
Note
  • Whether to log operations or not can also be set by selecting [Record Application Operation Log], which is accessible by selecting [DocuWorks Settings] from the Desk' [File] menu, and then selecting [Log] under [Common Settings] in the [Preferences] dialog box.
  • You cannot change the save destination for the operation log.

"[Link with Cloud Service] dialog box

Use this dialog box to specify whether to link with a cloud service.

[Link with Cloud Service]

To link with a cloud service, select this check box. This allows you to select linkage destination and set details.

[Link Destination]

Select the linkage destination cloud service.
Note
If you select Working Folder as the linkage destination, also select a cabinet to use with the linkage in the displayed [Select Working Folder Link Destination Cabinet] screen.

[Details]

Configure detailed settings for the linkage, for example, login information to access the cloud service and the storage to use for the linkage.
