Make-up of InfoView
InfoView displays information on the documents that are in the workspace on Desk.
InfoView has 2 windows as follows:
Only the properties window appears immediately after DocuWorks is installed.
When you stack the preview window and properties window, they are displayed in one window as tab format.

[Preview]
Displays an enlarged view of the current page of the document selected in the workspace of Desk. You can view the document's pages without opening the Viewer window. Previews can be shown for DocuWorks files and their shortcuts, and PDF documents. For other types of files, previews are not available.
Right-click on the preview to open the pop-up menu.
On the preview, you can also use the pop-up menu and the toolbar at the top to change the display magnification, switch the display of annotations and annotations, and copy the text.
For DocuWorks files, you can also copy partial images and display OCR results.

The Copy Image settings reflect the Capture Image settings in DocuWorks Viewer Control.

About [Displayed position of the document]
You can specify the location in a DocuWorks file that is displayed in the preview window when you use the [Displayed position of the document] pop-up menu on the preview window. This function is useful when you continuously preview the same position of multiple DocuWorks files.
There are two ways: based on the top, bottom, left, and right of the preview, or based on the position displayed during setup.

Gives priority to the [Zoom] setting when you select [Fit to Page Width], [Fit to Page Height], or [Fit to Whole Page] in [Zoom].

Properties
Displays information on the file being selected in the workspace of Desk.
The displayed items are grouped into the following categories: The displayed items vary depending on the file type.

- [General]
Displays basic information on the file. For a folder, this type of items is not displayed. - [Summary]
Displays general information on the file, including the title and the subject.
When two or more documents are selected, if there is an attribute whose value is different between documents, "(Multiple values)" appears for the attribute.
Double-clicking the [Value] field displays the [Property] dialog box, where you can change the attribute values. When two or more documents are selected, the changed values will be applied to those documents.
Right-clicking the [Value] field and then clicking [Delete] will delete the attribute value. When two or more documents are selected, the attribute value will be deleted from those documents. - [Custom]
Displays or edits file attributes defined by users as in [Summary]. You can operate in the same way for multiple documents. - [Security]
Displays restrictions imposed on operations for a DocuWorks documents or a binder (protected document) which has its security settings defined. For a type of operation which is restricted, the word "Not permitted" appears; for a type of operation which is not restricted, "Authorize" appears. - [Page Properties]
Displays information on the current page.
This item is not displayed when two or more documents are selected. - [Folder properties]
Displays information of the folder. For files other than folders, this type of items is not displayed.
Note
- For DocuWorks binders, the number of the displayed pages is not the number of pages per document, but through pages.
- For DocuWorks files, the version of DocuWorks that can open the corresponding document is displayed in [Type].
"Ver.4": can open the document in DocuWorks 4 or later.
"Ver.6": can open the document in DocuWorks 6 or later
"Ver.7": can open the document in DocuWorks 7 or later
"Ver.8": can open the document in DocuWorks 8 or later
- [Original] means the type of the original data created. [Image Document] is displayed for the image data or scanned documents with a scanner, and [Application Document] for that the created original data is the application data.
- [Monochrome printer response] means the color mode when DocuWorks documents are created from the application. "Monochrome" indicates "ON", "Color" indicates "OFF".
How to switch displaying/hiding InfoView
Procedure
1.
Select [Preview] or [Properties] from [InfoView] of the [View] menu.
The preview window or the property window of the InfoView is displayed.
2.
For hiding the InfoView, select [Preview] or [Properties] from [InfoView], or click [x] on the corner of the InfoView.
How to change the display mode of InfoView
There are two display modes for the InfoView.
- Docking mode
InfoView is pinned to the Desk window. - Floating mode
InfoView is not pinned. It is always displayed before the Desk window.
How to switch from the docking mode to the floating mode
There are the following three methods.
- Put the cursor on the title bar of the InfoView, and drag-and-drop it outside or center of the Desk window.
- Put the cursor on the title bar of the InfoView, and drag-and-drop it to any place pressing the <Ctrl> key.
- Double-click the title bar of the InfoView.
InfoView is displayed in the floating mode on the place where it is displayed in the floating mode in the previous time.
How to switch from the floating mode to the docking mode
There are the following two methods.
- Put the cursor on the title bar of the InfoView, and drag-and-drop it any of the top, bottom, left, or right borders of the Desk window.
- Double-click the title bar of the InfoView.
InfoView is displayed in the docking mode on the place where it is displayed in the docking mode in the previous time.

Put the cursor on the title bar of the InfoView, and drag-and-drop it any of the top, bottom, left, or right borders of the Desk window.
