[Manipulate Original Data] dialog box

This dialog box appears when you select a DocuWorks file and then select [Manipulate Original Data] from the [Document] menu.
Use this dialog box to manipulate the original data attached to the DocuWorks document. The dialog box shows in a list the file name of the original data, its related pages in the DocuWorks document, the size of the original data, and the modification date of the original data.
Note
DocuWorks documents inside a binder are listed in the dialog box even if they have no original data. Associated pages indicate the page number of each document which is created from the original data.

[Save in Unicode format]

Specifies whether to save the original data name as Unicode.
The check box is selected when all of the original data names are Unicode. The check box appears dimmed when a part of the original data names are Unicode. All original data names change to Unicode when you click the dimmed check box.
Clearing the check box converts all original data names to multi-byte code if they can all be displayed as multi-byte code. A warning message appears if there is text which cannot be displayed as multi-byte code. Clicking [OK] changes the corresponding character to "?".
You cannot select the check box when the Unicode character is not included in the original data names. Select the check box to save the original data names as Unicode.
Important
Documents with Unicode characters become Ver.7 documents.
