Creating Documents from Scanned Data
You can create DocuWorks documents from data read by a scanner.
Creating documents from scanned data
You can use a TWAIN32 standard-compliant scanner. Verify that the appropriate scanner driver is installed and the scanner is operational.
Procedure
1.
In Desk, select [Select source] from the [File] menu.
The [Select Source] dialog box appears.
Note
If your scanner does not appear in the source list, there is possibility that the appropriate scanner driver has not been correctly installed or the scanner is not properly connected. For more information, refer to the document for your scanner.

Select the source you want to use, then click [Select].

Select [Acquire] from the [File] menu.
The dialog box for network scanner appears.

Select scanner.
The dialog box corresponding to the selected scanner appears. The dialog box displayed varies according to the type of the scanner.

Specify the desired settings, then start scanning by clicking the appropriate button (such as start).
Scanning begins and the corresponding DocuWorks document is created.
6.
Close the dialog box by clicking the appropriate button (such as close).
The document is created in the location you specified. If a document with the same name exists, a delimiter and a number are automatically appended to the name. The type of delimiter and the number of digits to append can be set in [Document Operation] under [DocuWorks Desk Options] in the [Preferences] dialog box.
If you have enabled the OCR post-processing of scanned documents, the [Scan OCR Process] dialog box appears. To cancel the processing, click [Stop].
