Creating Documents by Dragging-and-droppingImage Files

You can create DocuWorks documents by dragging-and-dropping image files (BMP, JPEG, or TIFF files) into the Desk workspace. Multiple files or folders can be imported simultaneously. If you drag-and-drop a folder, files stored in that folder are converted to DocuWorks documents all at once.
Procedure
1.
Drag-and-drop files or folders to the workspace.
The [Import Document] dialog box or the [Importing Folders] dialog box appears accordingly.
Note
When files other than DocuWorks files are set to display, the files are imported without converting into DocuWorks files by copying and pasting them into the workspace. When files other than DocuWorks files are set not to display, the files are converted into DocuWorks files by copying and pasting them into the workspace.
2.
Click [Yes] to create DocuWorks documents.
The [Import Image File(s)] dialog box appears. The settings from the previous import of image files are displayed. This dialog box is displayed only if [Query at Run Time] is selected in [Import Files] under [DocuWorks Desk Options] in the [Preferences] dialog box.
3.
Specify the settings such as the paper size and the image quality of the created documents, then click [OK].
If you are importing multiple files with the same settings, select [Import the following file using same setting] to prevent this dialog box from appearing for subsequent files.
The corresponding DocuWorks documents are created.
If you import a folder, a new folder is created in the current folder and the DocuWorks documents created are stored in that folder. The name of the newly created folder is the same as the name of the imported folder.
Note
Even when files other than DocuWorks files are set to display, the files are imported into the workspace as image files if you select the [Import the file without converting to DocuWorks document] check box.
