Moving or Copying a Folder
You can move or copy a folder in the folder area of Desk.
Moving or copying a folder
You can change the position of a folder within the folder area as follows:
Procedure
1.
Select a folder you want to move in the folder area, then drag-and-drop it to the destination folder.
To copy a folder, drag-and-drop it to the destination folder while pressing the <Ctrl> key.
To copy a folder, drag-and-drop it to the destination folder while pressing the <Ctrl> key.
The folder is moved or copied to the destination folder.
Note
- You cannot move or copy system definition folders and link root folders.
- No folder can be moved or copied into Task Space.
- When you drag-and-drop folders between task space or user folder and link folder, the folders are copied by default.
You can set that the folder can be moved by the drag-and-drop in the preferences of Desk. - When you overwrite folders in link folder by moving or copying, properties of original folders are not inherited.
Copying a folder to the Windows Explorer or desktop
You can copy a folder in the folder area to the Windows Explorer or desktop as follows:
Procedure
1.
Select a folder you want to copy in the folder area, then drag-and-drop it to the Windows Explorer or desktop.
The folder is copied to the Explorer or desktop.
Note
- You cannot move folders.
- You cannot copy system definition folders to the Explorer or desktop.
