[Folder Property] dialog box
This dialog box appears when you select a folder and select [Properties] from the [File] menu.
Use this dialog box to display the properties of folders. Depending on the folder type, you can set the folder to read-only, change the color of the folder or the workspace, and modify its link destination path.
[Folder]
Indicates the name of a folder. This property is read-only.
[Path name]
Indicates the path of the selected folder. This property is read-only.
[Type]
Indicates the type of the selected folder. There are four file types: [System Definition Folder], [User Definition Folder], [Link root folder] and [Link definition folder]. This property is read-only.
[Read-only]
Specifies whether to make the folder read-only.
This function applies to User Definition Folders and Link definition folders.
If you select this check box, the folder will become read-only. If you clear this check box, the folder can be edited.
If a folder is read-only, you cannot add documents or edit documents in the folder. If you try to delete a document from the folder, you will be prompted with a message.
- Operations as adding documents to the folder
- Operations as editing documents in the folder
- Operations as deleting documents from the folder
Documents in a read-only folder will open in read-only.
If the current folder is read-only, DocuWorks documents created from the scanner or the [Print] dialog box of the application will not be displayed in the workspace. They will appear when the current folder is changed to a folder that is not read-only.
[Share folder status]
Specify whether to share the alignment, background color, and selection color for the documents within the folder, with other users. This item appears for a link root folder or a link definition folder.
The setting can be changed only when there is no file in the folder.
Note
Do not use a folder that is being used as User Definition Folder by another user, as a link root folder or a link definition folder. Otherwise, the folder status will not be correctly saved and shared.
[Color]
Specify the color of the folder icon. This function applies to [User Definition Folder], [Link root folder], and [Link definition folder].
If you create a new folder under the [User Definition Folder] or [Link definition folder], the color of the new one will be the same as that of the folder of the upper hierarchy.
[Folder Tree Display Options]
Specify the background color of the user definition folders in the folder area and the color applied when you select them.
[Background]
Specify the background color of the user definition folders in the folder area.
[Select]
Specify the color applied to the user definition folder when you select it in the folder area.
[Workspace Colors]
Specify the color for the workspace. You can specify different colors to different folders.
[Same colors as the DocuWorks Desk settings]
[Background]
Specify the background color for the workspace in thumbnail view.
[Select]
Specify the color of a frame which appears when you select a document in thumbnail view.
Note
The color of a new folder will be the same as that of the folder of the upper hierarchy.
[Zoom ratio of thumbnails]
Specify the zoom ratio of the thumbnail in thumbnail view.
[Same zoom ratio as the DocuWorks Desk settings]
Select this check box to set the zoom ratio of the thumbnail to the zoom ratio specified in the
[Preferences] dialog box.
If you clear this check box, you can specify the zoom ratio in [Zoom ratio].
[Zoom ratio]
You can specify the zoom ratio if you clear the [Same zoom ratio as the DocuWorks Desk settings] check box.
Specify the zoom ratio of the thumbnail between 10 to 34%.
[Location]
You can change the path of the link destination of the selected folder. This item appears only for link root folder.
Note
[Location] cannot be the local DWFolders (the directory specified as the user folder during the DocuWorks installation) or its subdirectories.
[Browse]
Opens the [Browse for folder] dialog box to specify the link root folder.
