Creating or Deleting My Electronic Signature
You can create My Electronic Signature and store it in an Electronic Signature Case as follows.
About images used for Electronic Signatures
You must prepare the images you want to use for Electronic Signatures in advance. You can use bitmaps smaller than 9.5 MB as Electronic Signature images.
When you place them in an Electronic Signature Case, they are converted as follows:

- They are converted to monochrome images and the "colored" parts become black, the "white" parts transparent.
- They are enlarged or reduced to the specified size.
Creating My Electronic Signature
You can create more than one Electronic Signature as your My Electronic Signatures. Open an Electronic Signature Case and perform the following procedure in the [DocuWorks Electronic Signature Case Tool] window.
Procedure
1.
Select [My Signature] tab in the [DocuWorks Electronic Signature Case Tool] window.
2.
Select [Create New My Signature] from the [Edit] menu.
The [Create New My Signature] dialog box appears.

Click [Specify from the file] and select a bitmap file you want to use as the Electronic Signature image.
The selected bitmap file image is displayed in [Signature-impression].
4.
Enter the [Signature name]. Specify other settings as necessary, then click [OK].
The [Create New My Signature] dialog box closes, the [Creating the Key Data for Signature] dialog box appears, then the created Electronic Signature appears in the [DocuWorks Electronic Signature Case Tool] window.
Note
- The [Signature name] cannot exceed 255 characters.
- You can also create Electronic Signature images using the following methods:
- Drag-and-drop one or more bitmap files from the Windows Explorer or another application to [Signature-impression] in the [Create New My Signature] dialog box.
- Paste the image copied on the clipboard to [Signature-impression] in the [Create New My Signature] dialog box. You can also paste an image you have copied using [Copy Image] in Viewer. - The maximum number of Electronic Signatures you can register with an Electronic Signature Case is 100.
Deleting My Electronic Signature
You can delete My Electronic Signature as follows. Open an Electronic Signature Case and perform the following procedure in the [DocuWorks Electronic Signature Case Tool] window.
Note
- You cannot re-create the Electronic Signature once you delete it.
- Do not delete an Electronic Signature for which you have issued a Proof Information until you confirm that it is no longer needed. Otherwise, you may not be able to open protected documents for which you set the security using that Electronic Signature.
Procedure
1.
Select [My Signature] tab in the [DocuWorks Electronic Signature Case Tool] window.
2.
Select the Electronic Signature you want to delete, then select [Delete My Signature] from the [Edit] menu of the [DocuWorks Electronic Signature Case Tool] window.
The [Confirm Deletion] dialog box appears.
3.
Click [Delete].
The selected Electronic Signature is deleted.
