[Extract Image] dialog box

Use this dialog box to specify settings for an image file created from a DocuWorks document.
This dialog box appears when you select a DocuWorks file and perform extract image plug-in.
Note
If the current page was not created from image file or scanner, then you cannot extract the image. Also, annotations cannot be passed to the image processing program.
You can confirm whether the document is created from image file or scanner by the following ways.
  • In Desk, when you select a document in the workspace in thumbnail view or grid view, the word [Image] appears in the status bar.
  • In the Viewer InfoView, [Original] of the [Page Properties] tab will show [Image Document].
  • When you are running the extract image plug-in, you can perform operations which do not edit the document such as turning pages and copying. However, you cannot move, delete or rename folders.

[Format]

Select an image file type for the conversion.
The default setting is [Bitmap File].
Note
The file extensions for the file types are as follows:
  • Bitmap file - bmp
  • TIFF file - tif
  • JPEG file - jpg
  • PDF file - pdf
DocuWorks documents created from image files or scanning can be converted to the following types of files.

Note
  • For documents containing both pages created by an application and image pages, the former will not be processed and only the latter will be output as an image file.
  • If the conversion results in multiple files, each of the files will carry the same name plus a unique number automatically. If you want to convert a document to the type indicated as "N.A." in the above list, use the image converter plug-in.

[Save to]

Enter the path name to save to.
The default is "Desktop". Click [Browse] to display the dialog box for specifying the path name. A path name cannot exceed 255 alphanumeric characters.
If you select a path other than the desktop, then it will become the new default path from the next time.

[Page Range]

Specify the page for image file conversion. Each of the specified pages of the document will be converted to an image file.
Note
If you select TIFF file as the format and select [Multiple Pages in One File] in the [TIFF Detailed Setting] dialog box, the conversion will produce a single TIFF file only.

[OK]

Converts to an image file according to the settings.
The settings you have made in [Format] and [Save to] will appear when you open this dialog box next time. The settings on the dialog box which is displayed when you click [Details] will be also applied the next time you open it.

[Cancel]

Cancels the settings and closes the dialog box.

[Details]

For bitmap, TIFF or PDF file format, you can click this button to adjust detailed settings of the selected file format.
When you click this button, the [Bitmap Detailed Setting] dialog box, the [TIFF Detailed Setting] dialog box or the [PDF Detailed Setting] dialog box will appear.
