Notes on Using Document Property Entry
When migrating from Document Attribute Plug-in for DocuWorks
When you have migrated from Document Attribute Plug-in for DocuWorks to DocuWorks Document Property Entry, follow the instructions below to configure the settings.
Editing/giving attributes
With DocuWorks Document Property Entry, document types and attributes must be defined.
Define "document types" and "attributes" by referring to the "CSV file for registering attributes in a batch" or "plug-in setup file" for Document Attribute Plug-in for DocuWorks.
To run a search of attributes with DocuWorks Document Property Entry, you need to specify a document type. Only the attributes tied to the document type are searched for.
To search for attributes given with Document Attribute Plug-in for DocuWorks and those given with DocuWorks Document Property Entry simultaneously, make sure to define the target attributes when setting document types.

Search Attributes
With DocuWorks Document Property Entry, you can run a search of attributes by specifying a document type.
Any documents that were given attributes with Document Attribute Plug-in for DocuWorks do not have information related to Document Type, and therefore in order to search for those attributes as well, you must select the [Do not include document type in conditions] check box.
As an example, to search for documents that were given attributes with DocuWorks Document Property Entry and Document Attribute Plug-in for DocuWorks simultaneously, you can use the steps below.

Procedure
1.
Select [Document Type] and set [Attribute].
Only the attribute names tied to the selected document type can be selected.
If the desired attributes are not contained in [Attribute Name], add them by editing the properties of the document type.
If the desired attributes are not contained in [Attribute Name], add them by editing the properties of the document type.

Select the [Do not include document type in conditions] check box, and click [Search].
Notes on importing settings
DocuWorks Document Property Entry provides two types of import/export features.
Importing/exporting document types
Only the settings for document types defined with DocuWorks Document Property Entry can be imported/exported.
When you import another document type, it is added; this does not erase the original document type.

Importing/exporting settings
The toolbar or task toolbar where the plug-in button is placed can be imported/exported including its settings.
When you import settings, the existing document types remain, and the imported document types are added. If importing results in duplicate document types, the existing document types are overwritten by the imported ones.

Note
- When you import settings into an environment where the DocuWorks Document Property Entry plug-in button is already placed, an error will occur and the plug-in button will be disabled if the number of document types exceeds 15.
- The exported settings cannot be imported into an environment in a version earlier than 2.4.0.
For example, import can be used as follows.
- When the administrator wants to distribute the same settings to multiple users
Use the steps in Importing/Exporting Settings to export the administrator's settings.
Then, import the settings the administrator exported into the user's environment. - When adding the document type settings for User B to the environment for User A.
User B exports his/her document types.
Import the settings User B exported into the user A environment.
How to restore the original settings if you have imported other settings by mistake
Procedure
1.
Exit DocuWorks Document Property Entry.
2.
Delete the following files:
File name: dwdiini.xml
Save location: C:\Users\{User Name}\AppData\Roaming\FUJIFILM\DocuWorks Document Information Entry
Save location: C:\Users\{User Name}\AppData\Roaming\FUJIFILM\DocuWorks Document Information Entry
3.
Select the file you want to restore by carefully checking the file name.
When you import a setup file, the original settings are saved as a file in XML format.
The name and location of the saved file:
File Name: dwdiini-yyyyMMddHHmmssfff.xml (Where YYYY is year, MM is month, dd is days, HH is hours, mm is minutes, and ss is second)
Save to: C:\Users\{User Name}\AppData\Roaming\FUJIFILM\DocuWorks Document Information Entry
The name and location of the saved file:
File Name: dwdiini-yyyyMMddHHmmssfff.xml (Where YYYY is year, MM is month, dd is days, HH is hours, mm is minutes, and ss is second)
Save to: C:\Users\{User Name}\AppData\Roaming\FUJIFILM\DocuWorks Document Information Entry
4.
Change the name you want to restore to "dwdiini.xml".
5.
Start DocuWorks Document Property Entry.
6.
As needed, use [Properties (Preferences)] in DocuWorks Document Property Entry to reconfigure the settings for document types and classification destinations.
Linkage with DocuWorks Tray
When using DocuWorks Document Property Entry, you can select a tray as file registration destination by linking the plug-in to DocuWorks Tray.
When the plug-in is being linked with DocuWorks Tray, the tray behaves as follows when you register a file with it.

- At the tray displayed on your PC, a "new" symbol does not appear, but the document counter increases in real time.
However, if the document is registered while the tray is hidden, the document is handled as a new document although a "new" symbol does not appear, and a "new" symbol will appear when you switch the tray from Hidden to Show. - At the tray displayed on other user's PC, a "new" symbol appears, and the document counter increases according to the settings for [Refresh Interval] under [Auto Refresh] in DocuWorks Tray.
- When you select a folder in the file registration destination, and the folder is the same as the storage location for DocuWorks Tray, a "new" symbol appears, and the document counter increases according to the settings for [Refresh Interval] under [Auto Refresh] in DocuWorks Tray.
- When you register a document with the tray for which the document tracking service is configured, the service logs the registration action.
Linkage with Working Folder
If you intend to select Working Folder as the registration destination for files, please note the following points:
- There is an upper limit for the number of folders and files you can register with drawers and Working Folder cabinets.
Once the upper limit is reached, delete older folders or files, or move them to a place such as another drawer, and then perform the registration again.
